I voted "Too Soon To Say". I think he's shown some initiative, and I also think he's shown a distinct lack of balls in some ways. He has a long time left to to learn the ropes and change tactics - I hope he finds his way. I honestly believe his popularity is part of the problem - I think he needs a few serious body blows in the polls to be reminded of the platforms he won government with.

I have hope that he will find his way to being the man who promised so much change. Time will tell.

It is too soon to say. Obama has accomplished some important things. He's restored our foreign relations to a much better place. He's reduced troops in Iraq. He has stabilized the economy. Much still needs to be done, and what is undone could sink Obama's presidency. He has only been in office nine months. Many presidents accomplished a lot in their first year in office, and went on to have failed presidencies. Look at Bush the younger. Few would have said at the end of his first year in office that he was destined to have a failed presidency, yet his presidency was a failure. At the same time, at the end of his first year, FDR still had the potential for a failed presidency.

Sigh. Oh How I Wish I Were So Wise. I mean, stoopid FDR -- he did nothing in his first 100 days and Gave No Clue As to His Mettle, no clue as to where he was taking the nation.

That Obama remains a mystery and an unknown eight months into his presidency is not a sign one should welcome.

Obama's job would be a lot easier if the biggest recipients (older people) of the biggest socialism experiment in the world (Medicare) weren't so threatened by working families getting a government sponsored insurance plan. So easy for some to continue to deny others rights they enjoy. Its all they've know... being afraid and denying people rights.

It would be a lot easier for Obama if Republicans demanded the opposition to Obama's plans stay constructive. Now, talking to children is like Hitler.

It would be much easier for Obama if his administration didn't have to look into prosecuting a past administration for torture. It would help if certain people in this country didn't condone torture by voting for this group of heathens.

That's one hell of a way to clock out... voting for a party that torture, denying others' health insurance and equating a president talking to school kids to "Hitler's Youth."

My words exactly.

I had to say too soon to say. Like what has been posted before, he has accomplished some good, But the Health care thing needs to be passed, and he needs to get with the others in Congress to accomplish it. Forget the slugs, they are not going to do anything for the Country. They only want their position in leadership back, and that is, hopefully, impossible for them to do. We will see.
Also there are too many assholes out there wanting blood. I'm afraid an assassination attempt will be made.

People have short term memory. All this "living in the now" seems to have effected their brains or something.

I will at least wait a year to make a definitive answer on if he will be a good prez or not. We will see.

So far I'm not impressed at all.Not at all.

Barring a tragedy, he is going to be President for a few more years, hopefully he'll pull his head out.

I'm looking foward to his speech.Who wants to bet he rolls over and caves to the right?

Now they are trying to ram ''the trigger''plan down out throats just IN CASE the insurance companies don't do the right thing..

At this rate,he's gonna be a one hit wonder..Shame really,he had numbers.
That is one thing I am critical on. He did have numbers, and I commend him for trying to work with the nasties, but he should have realized that they wernt going to try and work with the democrats and changed tactics.

He waited way too long to burn the bridge, and here we are.

Luckily Americans minds are so fickle, he can change public opinion still right now if he started burning that bridge to the nasties.

I voted too soon to tell.
So far, Obama has compromised too much. Grow a set of balls please.
He is all about compromise, What about his Campaign of HOPE and Change?
Typical Politician.
President Obama needs a serious ass kicking from the Republicans to get him back on track on his Campaign promises.
Blaming old people is so easy LostLover, Why aren't the internet savvy younger generation blowing them out of the water?

He had the numbers he had the power. He either didn't have the balls or the brains to use it. Don't blame the right blame Obama and you his supporters. The evidence of his prior work history clearly showed he didn't get things done. Hell he didn't show up for work and voted present for most of his short lived senate career. You guys ditched your best candidate and you have no one to blame but yourselves. Much like Clinton, Obama will save the Republican party or inspire a left wing version of Ross Perot to ruin his hopes in 2012. I would love to see the net result be a rise of a fiscal conservative socially moderate third party. But even Obama may not be enough to fully get us there. The average American is sick of the way things are being done by both parties. Real change is coming and it will not come from either of the modern political parties.

Too early to say - the whole stimulus thing and the green/infrstucture jobs he pledged at the start are moot..probably know my the end of his first term if he's successful.
One thing for sure - he's not going to shake up Washington and that's a dissapointment. Still the same white/jewish controlled beltway. You bet race plays a role. NO question about it.

In case you haven't noticed the current president isn't exactly sympathetic to the views of Jews or whites. The beltway is powered by green as in money. Politicians on the right the left and every race, creed and sexual orientation fall prey to its hypnotic powers. Unless we figure out a way to lessen its influence which is highly unlikely at this point no single politician will ever change it.

Oh don't be so modest. You know it was the republicans who burned that.

He tried to be nice to your party and include you in the drafting of health care reform, but true to form, the republican leadership cares about the illegal money they get than helping their constituents.

But hey, if you want to support a homophobic, racist, party who doesn't like the American people of Constitution, then HEY more evil to ya.

Really, your party has the white house, the senate with a filibuster proof majority and the house of representatives. The Republican party doesn't have the votes to stop anything. Your president had big pharma over to the white house and you blame the republicans for taking illegal money. I believe if you will check things out insurance companies hedge their bets by donating to both parties. This is nothing new here but their needs to be.

True, but you very quickly tried to turn public opinion agaisnt it, and succeeded. If we hadn't of bothered with the idiot party, we could have easily kept public opinion favorable...but the balls havent grown in on Obama yet.

All this during the time we tried to include the republicans in on health care reform.

Of course, true to form, the republicans don't want to work with others and be big boys and girls, not to mention they like the companies lining their pockets. At least the majority dems grew some balls to say goodbye to those insurance companies lining their pockets.

Big Pharma was at the White House to discuss lowering costs on their meds. Obama didn't miraculously stop supporting health care reform, and is still pushing hard for it.

Republicans though, are fighting any type of reform tooth and nail. Probably getting paid more money than before to try and keep this from passing with any popularity.

There are idiots in both parties. The media is very much on your side on this one if Obama had not stuck his nose in local police business that did not concern him and resulted in him going off message things might have gone your way. He has fucked up big time and cannot stay on message. He has surrounded himself with a bunch of left wing loons that will continue to generate problems as their exrteme views come to light. Mr. Jones is out now and more will follow. He doesn't even have the intestinal fortitude to stand up for them. He has no moral fiber whatsoever and unless things change radically he will never see reelection.
