This says it all right here why I am for this man. He is poised, smart, respectful and tells it like it is with actual solutions. And he is smart how he doesn't attack her, he attacks their "not getting it".

shorter version on community organizers:

longer version:

This community organiser taunt that the Republicans have picked on is really a HUGE opening for the Democrats to attack on. I just want the Dems to be on point and coordinated like the Republicans. You could see it last night. Just about all, if not all the speakers made jokes and taunts at Obama having being a community organiser.

The crusty old party of the GOP are ebbing and they wanted Palin for one reason, and one reason only, and that is fresh blood.

They are feeding like piranha on Sarah and using her handicapped child and pregnant daughter as props... while Sarah gladly sacrifices her children to them. If the Republicans were in their zenith, they would never in a million years trot out the dysfunctionality of the Palin famiy before the entire world. Desperate times require desperate measures.

Palin is nothing more then Dicky Cheney with lipstick. Her speech mad no references as to how deal with real issues that face the voters.

Thanks for sharing the vids.

Speaking of Palin, she is in hiding again and apparently will be this Sunday. Joe Biden will be making his first appearance on "Meet the Press" this Sunday since joining the Democratic ticket, Obama will be on "This Week" and McCain on "Face the Nation."

Pat Buchanan said that McCain plans to keep Palin away from reporters and instead have her give only speeches. Howard Fineman of Newsweek reported that the McCain campaign is also planning a war of intimidation against reporters to keep them quiet. Forget about Bush-Cheney, McCain in morphing into Nixon

WELL, AS AN EUROPEAN....
1) MS. PALIN MADE HER SPEECH AT A PARTY"convention", TALKING TO THE FAITHFULL...
2) SHE PARADED HER FAMILY THERE...
BUT THEN, SAW ONLY SNIPPETS, AND I AM OWER HERE, YOU OVER THERE, AND YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE BEST CHOICE

Sorry for being a little off topic but...

Whilst watching Pailin show a total absnce of gravitas during her speech, I was amazed at the cynicism being shown in the family row of the bleachers. In obviously choreographed moves, the baby was being passed up and down the line as though the family and the former blond beauty queen were playing pass the parcel. Every time the cameras cut to the family, the baby had been passed on. This was crass exploitation of the baby! So much for family values. And did I get the impression that the ageing blond was getting clucky? I also noted that the spin doctors and image makers had been to Levi. Shaved and with a suit. What a farce.

Sarah, "Barracuda" Palin is nasty, vendictive and dangerous.

Maybe "troopergate" will de-fang her.

It was sickening to watch the revved up, excited base as they cheered wildly at her "high school" style delivery speech...written by "Mathew Scully".

She was snarky and mean as she blasted Obama.

She said nothing about what matters most to the American public.

Classy, just like he said he would be.

And he's also 100% right and 100% on message.

I also notice that he seemed to touch on something that I hadn't thought of before. Maybe she was chosen to distract us all.. even Barrack Obama. I mean.. he nailed it.. "I'm running against John McCain."

For a day or so I think even I forgot that. I wonder if she was chosen because she's so bad? Maybe she was meant to distract everyone as the "easy target" and McCain could walk away unscathed?

Anyone else like the "palm-lick cowlick taming' done by the youngest of the kids? I don't think that was choreographed - the kid looked too bored. But I'm sure it played well to middle America. "Look at that! Her kid's palmlicking the cowlick! Them kids is just us folks!"

>>>She said nothing about what matters most to the American public.

She aimed squarely at what many of the GOP faithful and would-be faithful wanted to hear, and (I think) scored a bullseye. She gave them platitudes. She gave them encouragement to not vote for that black man (NOT because he's black! Heavens no! Because he's inexperienced! Because he wants to do bad things to you and America!). She calmed their fears about energy ("Drill baby drill!") and terrorism ("A strong America!"). And she played the strong suburban mom.

and it was all BULLSHIT. But it will work as many Americans believe the words of politicians is the word of GOD.

Exactly. They were poking fun of grassroots government. What was Palin doing around the same age? Oh yeah, she was in a beauty pageant.

Great point. You must have eaten your Wheaties, today.

I always appreciate your posts. You are very observant. I do have one request. Please translate clucky.

Well they just showed Obama at a small gathering and then went to Palin introducing McCain. What a contrast! Obama is so poised, understands what is going on and what he plans to do, and EXPLAINS it well. She is just a snarky "C" word.

And to top it off she repeated word for word the "Community Organizer" insult. WOW! You think they would have backed off of it! These guys really don't get it!

And now he is talking, and it is so bizarre. He is talking about how great she is and how great her family is. And how great Todd is for riding a snow machine 2000 miles in 40 below weather. Is he her running mate?

Having once played the roll of a "community organizer" myself, the irony is that the attacks are coming from representatives of a party that supposedly don't believe in "big government."

Hell they're even bashing the Democrats claiming that the Democrats and Obama think that government is the answer to everyone's problems.

Who do the Republicans think take care of quality of life issues when "the government" shouldn't be?

Community organizations, and Community Organizers coordinating those efforts. ](*,)

But I guess they have to be "faith-based iniatives" before they can be considered to count.

I'm so over the Republican bullshit! :grrr:
