Obama useless without teleprompter

Obama has relied on a teleprompter through even the shortest announcements and when repeating the same lines on his economic stimulus plan that he's been saying for months — whereas past presidents have mostly worked off of notes on the podium except during major speeches, such as the State of the Union.

In a break from his routine, Obama did not use a teleprompter during his pre-Inauguration speech at a factory in Bedford Heights, Ohio — and his delivery seemed to suffer. He paused too long at parts. He accentuated the wrong words. And overall he sounded hesitant and halting as he spoke from the prepared remarks on the podium.

Before Obama entered a room in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on Wednesday to announce his crackdown on defense contracts, a CNN reporter asked an Obama aide if the teleprompter could be moved further away from the podium or lowered. The answer was an unequivocal ‘no.’

I guess the press honeymoon with Obama is starting to wane.

Negative articles are stating to appear. Obama slighting UK. Obama breaking campaign promises.

Now the press is claiming that the great orator cannot even speak "off the cuff". His every word is prewritten for him. He cannot think. He is just a puppet.

Hmm. Regardless if he uses a teleprompter or not, it's not always how he delivers the speech, it's the content that is important. As long as people understand what his message is, I don't see the problem. He's still a great speaker, and nobody can take that away from him.

If it were just for State of the Union addresses and the like, that'd be different.

But anybody whose standard presentation of themselves is as manufactured as Obama's is (I mean, he uses the teleprompter to read things like, "I'll never forget, when I was eleven years old ..." which really is insane) is a fake. And fakes are people who lie and cheat and keep secrets, which is destructive behavior that will eventually hurt everybody who's invested in that person.

I really can't believe how much your putting into this.. While many fakes are people who lie and cheat and keep secrets(which, guess what, actually shows trustworthiness in the majority of cases), not everyone who can be considered a fake(and with such a unrefined word, anyone can be called a fake at one time or another), is a bad person in reality.

And seriously... try using words and statements that haven't been used to describe most politicians at least once in their career. You might actually get some influence put behind your arguments on this subject.

I've been observing human nature and behavior for more years than you've been alive and I know what I'm talking about.

The "words and statements" others use to describe politicians in the way you suggest aren't relevant to what I'm saying because those are broad shallow attacks about "most politicians"; what I'm saying is specific and about one person and his behavior.

The observations and conclusions I made about Obama back during the Primaries, which were dismissed and attacked as nonsense, are already proving true. The rest will, as well.

This is what's on Obama's teleprompter this morning in Ohio.

What's wrong with it? It's not inspiring or unifying and doesn't explain or account for anything, it's divisive bullshit.

Oh and BTW "this plan" only pays their salaries for the rest of this year. Short term band-aid, not long term solution. But debt the American people will have to pay off for years.
