Hey!

Man, did the "Queen-of-Mean's" face actually move??? lol

Actually, I don't see how people can just sit there and listen to someone beat-up on them and not say somethin......just like the man did.

However, this is the Prez and one should give him the respect of the office he represents whether you actually like or voted for him!(*8*)

It is entirely against parliamentary rule to call one another liars within the walls of governement chambers.

I note he issued an apology.

God the republicants are behaving like pathetic children.

I rather suspect that the presidency of Richard Nixon (a Republican) changed the public's perception, on the office of president, of the United States and ensured that deference, even for the head of state, is not a guarantee.

Joe Wilson's outburst would appear to suggest that a precedent has been created.

Equally offensive to me was the congressman that just sat there and texted during the entire speech.

I mean, that's so incredibly rude and disrespectful.

If I had been Obama, I would have called him out on it. "Sir, is there something more important going on on your Blackberry than listening to your president speak right in front of you ? "

I'm sure Obama saw him, but I guess he just chose to ignore it. #-o

Didn't the president call someone a liar first?

For him to yell that was completely out of order and lacked any kind of respect for US Government procedure. The man acted like a child, at least like an immature lemming at a town hall meeting. He should be held to some sort of accountability for his action.
The Republican party is freaking out so much, the movement is becoming frightening. I believe they are leading us towards a violent movement.
Could you imagine what the M. Savage, B. O'reilly, G. Beck, and the rest of the extremists would have done if a Democrate had done this to former president Bush?

Here's Rep. Joe Wilson's (R) office number: (202) 225-2452. Call him and let him know what you think of his lack of respect for the office of the President. Switchboard jammed? Call him in South Carolina here: (843) 521-2530.

Nancy Pelosi's face around 1:20
...lol

Nancy looked over like "WTF did you just say?(leans over to Biden) "Did you hear this mofo?"....lol....Anyway this is all talk radio could talk about yesterday it seems!!From all the analyst I heard, they all agreeed that Obama was telling the truth..

Total lack of respect by Mr. Wilson towards the president. Bet also Joe Wilson kept his kids home from school when Obama spoke.

I guess Michael Steele will call Joe Wilson the new face and voice of the GOP. The south shall rise again.

"What'd that fucker just say?!?"

Did, he? Please cite the reference. Thank you.

Some of people's concerns have grown out of bogus claims spread by those whose only agenda is to kill reform at any cost. The best example is the claim, made not just by radio and cable talk show hosts, but prominent politicians, that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens. Such a charge would be laughable if it weren't so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie, plain and simple.

While he didn't call Sarah Palin a liar in name, it's pretty obvious who he was referring to. And I don't want to get into the accuracy of his or her statements...but he did say it. Rep Wilson was out of line in shouting in the House, grumbling and booing is commonplace though. And the President was out of bounds for lying, and calling others liars.

LOL Clearly you've never spent much time in the House or Senate chambers.

No one listens to anybody.

While someone is speaking (IF anyone else is present. Because a lot of the time the speaker is the only one present other then the rostrum staff.) they may be filing their nails, listening to an Ipod, talking, writing or anything else.

The thing about that jerk is that he should have realized there'd be a good chance the TV camera would catch him.

I still dont like Obama.

I'm glad that man came up and say he a liar. (No offence)

I saw Obama face when that man says he a liar, nice try Mister Obama.

Obama should have called Wilson out like he said they were going to.

Huh? The President is lying about health care coverage of illegal immigrants?

TalkingAsshole, it is you who is being untruthful. The language in the bill clearly excludes people who are not in the country legally. Do you want a direct cite?

dun dun dun.
Um, yeah. No.

Because I read the language in the bill and it doesn't "clearly" exclude people who are not in the country legally. Just because the bill says something that seems to be "fail-proof" --its not. There are plenty of loopholes in the bill, that would allow law makers and people in the house committees to twist it. Albeit, words in the bill say it includes only legals, but conversely it does not say it exclude illegals, making it a prime candidate for senatorial review.

oh, but I'm condoning rude/inappropriate behavior.

What Congressman Wilson did was totally out of line. However, the ones that are so upset about it are the same people that had the "F" the President bumper stickers when Bush was in office.

While I did not agree with or care for Bush, the office of the President is due a certain amount of respect. Those bumper stickers were also out of line. Although he perceives himself this way, Obama is far from perfect. Whether one agrees or disagrees with him, there are certain places where it is totally inappropriate to voice your disagreement and this was one of them.
