Obama isn't "plenty of people." Jasun, in the post just above this, says Obama's "the best choice for president in a generation," and he's not alone in believing that. Supporters can't say in one breath he's the best hope in a generation and the next insist he not be held to a higher standard than "plenty of people." I mean you CAN, but it's revealing.

He's promising to "change the country and change the world," and preaching personal responsibility in doing so. He spent $4 Million to produce an ad showing stuggling people he's going to help (they drive SUVs and live in nice homes they own - his aunt is in public housing). If he's seriously going to change the country and change the world, start with helping his own family. He knows her; he wrote about her in his book and she attended his Senate swearing-in, and she recently contributed to his campaign. Obama's a multi-millionaire living in a mansion; if he wants to redistrubute taxpayer's wealth, maybe he should start with redistributing a little of his own.

Also this aunt of Obama's who's on public assistance made a campaign contribution to him of $260 (that's a tidy sum for someone who's housing is paid for by taxpayers), which is illegal because she's not a US Citizen and in fact is an illegal immigrant. How many other illegal contributions has Obama accepted in his $600 Million haul?

There's not much to wonder about. Many times families say to one another "Let's not talk about that until this or that crisis is over." I'm sure there's no guy with a whip standing in their way of speaking to the press if they should decide to.

The thing about Obama, is that he's always caught unaware. No idea that Wright was a complete racist asshole, despite having gone to his church for 20 years. No idea that Ayers was an unrepentant terrorist, despite having sat on boards with him. No clue that his own brother was living in squalor on $12 per year in Kenya. Now he had no idea, that his poor auntie, was here despite her having attended his swearing in as Senator and that she contributed to his campaign. And of course, he was unaware that she was here illegally to boot.

Also keep in mind that he was misrepresented about being unrepentant. When Bill Ayers was considered a domestic terrorist, Obama was 8 yrs old. Obama had nothing to do with Bill Ayers's actions. Bill Ayers also never hurt anyone. He was protesting the Vietnam war. Bill wanted to save lives; he was trying to protect the American citizens. I do not condone the way he did it though, which was by bombing EMPTY government buildings. It's insane how mccain has tried to fool the american people by tying Obama to middle eastern terrorism/911 by asking who Obama is and tying him to a "terrorist". If Bill Ayers was considered a terrorist when Obama met him or now, he'd be in custody. The fact is that he's a prominent Chicago professor who was NEVER CONVICTED of anything.

First of all, this is an AP news story. Second, I'm far more concerned that she's living in public housing and she's apparently a friend of Obama's. Yeah, those bastard Republicans sure are heartless. WTF doesn't he help her if she means so much to him?

Obama made his first million in 2005 and the next year he made less than a million. In 2004 he made around 200,000 a year. When he and Michelle made their first million, they were finally able to pay off their student loans. It's unfair to make Obama out to be a filthy rich guy. Also, it's not Obama's responsibility, nor is it feasible, for him to save/rescue every family member he has. We don't know what their relationship is or what has taken place between them.

The man has so many strong ties, went to Harvard for crying out loud, and has been in politics for awhile. Hell he's making enough to be considered "rich" by most of his supporters (and lets face it, Obama by any estimation is "rich." You don't rise to the candidacy of the president of the United States as a poor man! Hell he's got $600m now in contributions so he's hardly the poor man's candidate. You don't have to be rich (to rule my world! sorry...) to help someone. I simply asked why didn't he help? I said nothing as to whether he had legitimate reasons to or not to but to me its a legitimate question.

Well let's see. If you're going around campaigning telling people THEY have a responsibility to do so and you're going to ensure they do with compulsory taxation then hell fucking yes you have a responsibility to do so!

So every family member should be as rich as Obama? Should he include family members he's never known? Should he include only those he grew up with? How much does one have to make a year to be eligible to receive money from Obama? Does he have to write checks to everyone? What if he writes checks and then they blow the money? Should he continue to give? Should he invite every family member to live in his home? How much of his money should he give and how much should he keep for himself, Michelle and his children? Since he would be giving to family members, can he avoid giving to charities? If he becomes the president, should he move all of his family members in america and africa into the whitehouse?

William McGonigle, deputy director of the Boston Public Housing Authority, said officials only became aware of Onyango's connection to the Democratic presidential nominee last week, after receiving inquiries from a reporter with the Times of London. Onyango then confirmed the relationship.

He said that Onyango worked as a residential health advocate for the housing agency in exchange for a stipend.

"She is a delightful lady and she did a wonderful job as a public health advocate and she's been a great resident," McGonigle said. "She's not looking for fame or notoriety, and we were as surprised as anyone to learn she was related to the Democratic nominee."
