Take THAT Mr. Mayor...I'm so Glad that Judge whatshisName shut YOU down yesterday. You had a STELLAR record while in office and this is by far your BIGGEST blunder...

No Politician of your Caliber Campaigned to "Respect the Drunks & Shun the Soda drinkers"...

I drank a Soda with my Lunch and I'm gonna drink another with my Dinner in Bloomberg's honor...

Maybe the soda drinkers who drink 32 oz and stuff should have more respect for their bodies. But... I am against the ban. It's up to people to realize their own decisions are bad for them. And diet coke makes people fat.

I mean if one is gonna drink soda it should be made with cane sugar at the very least. NOT HFCS. NOT ASPARTAME. NOT that splenda shit. Maybe the ban is misfocused... maybe their should be a push to get soda companies to ditch HFCS... I think HFCS has a great link to obesity.

Misdirected ban. Ban HFCS.
Agreed.

At my local grocery store, Coke bottled in Mexico is featured... no corn syrup. Corn syrup is cheaper. What a surprise!

Did that proposed 32oz ban include Diet Coke too?

I have no idea...What was so strange about the Ban is that someone over 21(or whatever NYC legal age is) could walk into a Gas station and buy a Case of Beer but a Kid couldnt walk in and buy a Big Gulp...

Bloomberg is a laughing stock around the Country...he still Drinks Alcoholic beverages in Public and doesnt see anything wrong with it but he feels sorry for the Soda drinker....It makes you wonder who pushed him to take on this issue...

Bloomberg's record has been far from stellar, and this was far from his biggest blunder. He's cost the NYC taxpayers billions of dollars with some of this blunders. He's been a horrible mayor. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll crash his helicopter into the East River and drown tomorrow.

Time to get a democrat back in office. Even here in LA we don't bother with republicans (or the so called "independent" ones like Bloomberg)... no matter how moderate they seem. Bloomberg sounds a lot like Riordan. Cost LA billions with his crap policies.

He spent over $100 million to get reelected and barely won last time. That doesn't even include the personal bribes he paid to get endorsements. He's an unprincipled, corrupt, miserable piece of shit.

PaleMale the only reason I said Bloomberg has a STELLER record is because MSNBC praises him all the time. No one runs against the man because they FEAR his Billions and no one complained about him until now. I’ve watched Bloomberg on Morning Joe and he seems intelligent, thoughtful but lacking in personality. I don’t know enough about Bloomberg to say he’s done a stellar job at anything.. The Soda Wars became a Topic @ the Dinner table and as you know he’s been on the road with that Farce of a Campaign trying to convince somebody.

I always felt Bloomy is a Closeted Bisexual. I could be 100% wrong and it’s very irrelevant. Some Men & Women are Married to their Money &/or Career and nothing more…

That's the case with a lot of people that are still single in their mid-30s. By the time they hit 37, they ask where the fuck the time went and especially for women, their biological clocks are about to expire.

That's not about him specifically but people in general.

Still the soda ban is about obnoxious as the bottled water ban.

I dunno... isn't that Mexican soda cheaper than a similar bottle of American soda? I usually go to vallarta, and they have a variety of different kinds. All with cane sugar. Corn syrup never caught on in Mexico. Of course moderation is still key.

I don't think it really "caught on" here, either, other than the fact that it was cheaper to use because of the glut of surplus subsidized corn we create and nothing to use it for, making it cheaper than sugar. Now it's in everything and literally you can't avoid it in anything sweet practically even if you try.

I'd say his worst was getting rebuked by the US Department of Justice and several nearby states for interfering with ongoing investigations utterly outside his jurisdiction.

Actually there is a far better use for it, as a fertilizer additive or even major component. Feeding chemicals to the soil actually harms the soil in the long run; feeding it corn syrup would feed the worms, and it's worm castings that really make soil rich.

He's an overbearing, morally bankrupt twat. A few years ago, some guys in my gym sauna were discussing Bloomberg's boyfriend. His girlfriend is a grade A piece of shit, too. She's another 1% sorry excuse for a human being.

He's a billionaire liberal democrat -- he gets to tell people what to do.

Bob, Bob, Bob ... Bloomberg is a democrat and extremely rich -- a member of the 1% along with fellow democrats like Buffet, Gates.

He is exhibit A of why it is a bad idea to elect corporate executives to anything, especially billionaire executives. It's been a long time since he was a Democrat.

Besides, lots of corporate executives are Democrats. They may be assholes, but they're not stupid. Remember, Gov. Jindal said the Republicans are the party of stupid. Most corporate executives live in big cities where it is embarrassing to be associated with the Republican Party.

Denial is one of your biggest problems Springer. He hasn't been a Democrat for over a decade.

Since when are you against anyone with money? The 1% is who you and your political party are enslaved to.... brilliant humanitarians like the Koch brothers, Donald Trump, Sheldon Adelson and the like.

So true but the WONDERFUL thing about being 36 is that you're settled into your career, Own your own home, got a retirement plan and don't have to work 2 jobs like some of the 20somethings that live in Massachusetts...

Half of my Straight friends were Married and Divorced before they turned 25..Now we're all over 30, some single, a couple remarried but we're all comfortable financially..Not Rich, but certainly not having to work 2 jobs to keep up with the Jones family...

We'll see if what YOU're doing today will pay off for you when you turn 36...
