I am working at home today and after a meeting with a new client this morning, I am off to have a nap, because it is gloomy and raining and I just want a nap.

How many here actually have a nap in mid-afternoon and how often>

I will do it about 2 or 3 times a month at most. My partner does it about 4 days a week.
 
First of all I'm Smuckers jelly cuz it's been hotter than the Mojave here, I'd love some rain right about now. Secondly, I take at least one a day most days, sometimes more than one if time permits. Those lil power naps are like a turbo booster and I'm surprised how often I awake feeling energized vs how I feel after 6-8 hours of sleep which is usually 'still tired.'
 
Usually 2-4 times a week. 20 minutes on the couch.
 
Ah! One of the joys of retirement! I can nap when I want to nap. Sometimes, I will nap 2 or 3 times in one day. Other days, not at all. But usually once in the afternoon for about 45 minutes.
 
Once in awhile I'll take little nap if I feel tired or just to lay down for a bit
 
God I wish. My brain won't shut up long enough.
 
I TRY not to when I have to work the next day, I'm bad at coming home from work and flopping down on the couch and thinking I'll just close my eyes for 5 minutes, 3 hours later I wake up and can not sleep the rest of the night #-o

Most days I have a nap at 5pm
 
I have been taking naps most of my life and now I continue to do it. I nap probably 6 times a week for around 20-30 minutes. It is great.
 
I can't officially have a nap at work, although I have been known to doze off in particularly tedious meetings.
 
I'm retired so I can, and do, nap almost every day, often for an hour. Since I often wake up and cannot fall back to sleep in the middle of the night for an hour or more, I figure that I am due a nap. When I worked I got into the habit of napping for 10 minutes on the train after 5:00 PM. Somehow I always woke up.
 
I zone out 15 -20 min every day---sometimes actually fall asleep. Like meditation---need to shut mind down.

Oh God.

I have a meeting this evening and can't stop yawning.

I really do need to carve out more time to doze in the mid-afternoon.
