Obviously everyone turns a blind eye to all her good music. The haters have no real reason to hate. Some guy says he hates her attitude. What attitude is that? I hate when people go around hating just for the sake of hating. If you don't like her music, fine. Doesn't mean you need to hate on HER.

Like fuck, I don't like any music by The Beetles but I don't go around calling them shit. That's just juvenile.

One thing I don't understand about his post, is why it is so evasive, and he pulls his punches. I really wish he'd actually tell us how he feels, LOL.

One thing I'll say: I can imagine having an enjoyable face to face conversation with Nicki Minaj. (Is that a Serbian name?) Like her music or not, she's doing something that only some people can do, and it's a way of life I've never really talked with somebody about in any depth.

Adding to that: I think that being in a dark alley with Tristan Barker would be scarier than being in a dark alley with anybody from this-here website...even most of the JustUsBoys'bers [Eek, the software of JU.B turned "jub'bers" with JU B capitalized, into something I wasn't trying to do] that a lot of people on here love to throw hate on (and, sometimes, for good reason).

There's music out there I don't like - and just from the nature of how I explore DEEP into many unconventional musics as well, it assures that I'll run into stuff I don't like - but I can't remember the last time (if ever) that I thought that "he/she SHOULD NOT have recorded this."

Of course, sometimes I'll ask "**WHY** did they record this?" If you hear "My Pal Foot Foot" by the Shaggs, YOU will ask that question too. (The answer to that question, regarding that specific recording, is of course that they're Martian.)

As far as Nicki goes I don't like all her music & don't buy her CDs but I do like Moment of Life and Super Bass. Starships is also okay. Those are my top 3 songs by her.

The prototype style was there (along with, indeed, a rap). The music is interrupted by some novelty bits. Your thoughts?

this might be very well be the first rap record ever made. i wanna know the history behind this record to know to see if it might have been a movement which inspired it. i do know that the origins of hip hop with the emceeing and dj'ing started in jamaica though where the dj would toss on a record and the emcee would just say random things on the record. he wasn't rapping but he would just say random words on a record. this was like in the 50s and 60s.

but i'm curious to know what inspired pigmeat markham here comes the judge though. there has to be a story behind what inspired that song. did he copy someone else? was there a movement back there where people were making songs similar to here comes the judge where he decided to do something like that? about to do google it real quick.

Yeah, CRAZY, isn't it? Usually a precursor to a musical genre isn't a full **five years** earlier - that's an ETERNITY in musical styles.

This link might be a start for you to research it farther...Pigmeat Markham - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia...I note the writer of the article refers as Pigmeat being probably the "father of rap music." I'd have to agree...but it's curious how far back the roots WILL TRULY go. G-Lexington probably knows more about this, yeah I know it's off topic but more information would interest more than two of us, I think.

yeah, what's funny is that that record you put was supposed to be a comedy skit. so this was probably something that he just decided to do unintentionally and it turns out he saw the future.

as far as i'm concerned, it really doesn't matter @ this point. the second verse of ice cube "true to the game" applies to her ass. she went from hip hop to pop and now that the pop fans don't approve of her, it's back to the same hip hop fans she disowned. look like the young money train is about to be derailed. there's really no female rappers worth checking for nowadays. lil kim was the one that was putting out good music even though she's fucked up and crazy now. talking about someone with color issues, that's lil kim. in fact, i thought you was talking about her, man.

I never took the time out of my day to disrespect any artist as a person no matter how much I didn't like their music. I go about my day not listening to it; pretty simple.

You guys are acting as if he really took out a lot of time to write that out. I can almost bet you money that he probably wrote the rough draft first strokes in and just corrected it and had it posted with in 15 mins of proof reading. Characters like whats her face are easy targets--easy to read. No substance. She hides nothing and looks ridiculous.
