Ok, I'm a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and I really hate the Steelers. We've played in 3 Superbowls... we won 1, they cheated the other two. LOL.

On a sidenote, I think both quarterbacks are hot. Kurt I can picutre in leather, Big Ben as the country boy. Mmmmmm

This would also be a good place to put our favorite Superbowl commericals. After all, they pay 3 million a minute for em, they better be good!

Go Cardinals.

Go Steelers!!!!!!!

LOL, I knew that was coming.

Let's get this party started!

I don't really care who wins the game, but I'm an AFC guy, and Vegas says the Steelers are a TD better. So, I'm picking the Steelers.

If we're gushing about players, I'd love to make out with Troy Polamalu sometime so I can run my fingers through that hair.

its gonna be an interesting game, the cardinals have really re-invented themselves in the playoffs. they will always have their bread-and-butter passing game but they have been running the ball much more effectively and there defense is generating turnovers and pressure on the opposing QB

Roethlisberger hasn't had much protection over these past few weeks and if he can't buy himself time in the pocket the d-line can really make life a living hell for him. espically considering the arziona head coach used to be pittsburgh's offensive coordinator, he should know Ben's tendecies very well.

Breion, you might lose your hand in there.

Student, good analysis. Big Ben got carted off only a few weeks ago with a concussion. Their O-line has been iffy at best. And if you remember, Big Ben was terrible when he played the Seahawks in the Superbowl, even tho the Steelers still won (thanks again to some questionable officiating… lol).

And don't forget, Ken Whisenhunt (Cards coach) was the O-coordinator for the Steelers only a couple of years ago, and knows Big Ben's weaknesses. Let's see if he can exploit them.

Not to be outdone, we have Kurt Warner, QB of the Arizona Cardinal (figured I'd keep this simple for the non-football junkies).

I think he should be given serious consideration for the HOF. Especially if he wins this weekend. This is the second team he's taken to the Big Dance. And the whole 'grocery stocker to Superbowl MVP' story is one of the best ever.

If he's given protection, I think he'll give the Steelers secondary one heck of a time. Then again, he could just as easily be on his ass all day... or throwing more to the Steelers than his own team.

I'm looking forward to a competative game.

Ok. honestly, i love the steelers. They are a great dynasty! however, i've been pretty upset as they have beaten my chargers out of the superbowl race when it was their year to win. I really am considering taking the cards for the upset simply because the steelers have won the superbowl only 4 years ago and I fear they will become like the patriots who just didn't stop winning until now. EEWWW THE PATRIOTS!! I can't explain how much I hate them and I don't want it to be the same with the steelers. Besides, the last time the cards appeared in the big game... i can't remember.

Larry Fitzgerald is amazing! nobody can play on top of this guy cuz he'll just snatch the ball out of the air. I believe kurt warner will get his usual 250+ yards. It will be hard for the cardinals to stop roethlisberger (sp?) cuz.. well, it's big ben. The steelers D will eat up any rush attempt that the cards try to produce.

We'll have wait till sunday to see which team prevails

I would have loved to seen the Chargers make it as well. They, along with the Cardinals, are one of the teams never to win a Superbowl. In fact, this is the first time the Cardinals have been to a Superbowl.

And hate the Patriots? Well, I think we can all agree on that. :)

Since Breion mentioned the fearless safety Troy Polamalu and his famous hair, figured I'd post a picture.

Hey, we might as well get some predictions out there... I'm pulling for the upset.

Cardinals 24 Steelers 16

I am also pulling for the upset. The Cards have proven everyone wrong up to this point.

I won't, however venture a guess on the final score.

I honestly don't even think this will be a close game. I really don't think that Arizona can compete with the Steelers. People talk about the cardinals offense as if it's untouchable. They haven't really played any good defences all season.

My prediction: 31 Steelers, 14 Cardinals

Maybe this year - 40 years after the classic Jets upset of the Colts - will be another major upset?? Speaking of the Colts, this is the 25th anniversary of their midnight move (hey I like that!) from Baltimore to Indy.

Tommy, I was living in the Baltimore area when that midnight move happened. Didn't realize it was the anniversary tho.

Go Cardinals!

I believe it was in March, 1984..I think I read where they waited for an approaching snowstorm so the coast would be substantially clear!

A few weeks ago (before the NFC Championship between Philly and Arizona) the Philadelphia Inquirer ran a front page story on how the Eagles came that close to going to Phoenix. Then owner Len Tose, who was heavily into gambling debt, had a handshake deal to sell the team to a Phoenix investor. A reporter for the Arizona Republic (who just died in early Jan.) broke the story and the City of Philadelphia hurriedly agreed to pay for stadium skyboxes to retain the team and they stayed. Tose had to sell the team anyway in the spring of 1985 to Norman Braman, a Miami car dealer, anyway because he was so in debt. He didn't want the team to move anyway but saw no way out. Tose died a few years ago penniless, supported by generousity of former Eagles coach Dick Vermeil and some other NFL owners.

I'm from the patriots anyway

but

GO STEEEEEEELERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Tommy, March makes more sense. I don't remember the move during the playoffs.

Great story. I'd never heard that. I'm going to take a stab and say the Cards were in St. Louis at the time.

BTW, are you an Eagals fan? I won't hold it against you. ;)
