  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
    Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Oh Carol.

For many years, I would sing this with the church choir. One time we even cut a record. However, we never quite did it like this ...

Pentatonix (with new bass singer, Matt Sallee). It's good to see Mitch Grasse looking so healthy again.

I never heard that before..I love it! I adore Quincy Jones...I think he is a GOD in music...(ww)(ww)(ww):luv2:

For years and years I tried to find this song they played at The End Up (Bar in SF)....the DJ called it "Church" and played it alot on Sundays...and it was a long...maybe 20+ minutes...and a gospel choir that I THINK was an Oakland one was really uptempo and it changed genres from R&B to Country to Rock to Gospel.....and so on....

It was really fun..and I searched for the title and even tried looking up the DJ...no luck though :(

I want that 12" single so bad....

...do you have any idea what I am referring to Ky?

Here is Dave Koz...I love this guy....we listen to him alot at home....

The Christmas Song....Brenda Russel on Vocals:luv2:....

Chili Klaus adds ghost peppers to the Herning Boys Choir rendition of a favourite carol.

^ Well done! :=D: ..| :badgrin:

Now ... this ...

"Do You Hear What I Hear?" was composed in October of 1962 by husband & wife team with Noël Regney (lyrics) andGloria Shayne Baker (music). The Cuban Missile Crisis had the world on the brink of war. History books can tell the story to today's children, but they cannot convey the terror of those days.

The song was written not as a Christmas story, but as a plea for peace - a plea to stop the war before it began.

There have been many versions of this carol, but none have ever matched the power and popularity of Bing Crosby's rendition.

Keep the story of the song in mind when you listen to the words. You will hear them with a whole new meaning and understanding:
