Fantastic for all three of you!!! What wonderful news.

I was just at a Festival of Butterflies and saw all these straight parents leading their little ones around showing them the butterflies. It crossed my mind, where was the gay couple leading their child around? You and Eric have just added to that possibility.

Afraid the only thing I know about adopting is Dan Savage's book The Kid. It was a fabulous book, but more about their open adoption process than raising their son - which he says in his subsequent book was very easy. DJ was such an easy child to raise that they didn't get around to adopting a second. Anyhoo--

You'll do fine. Keep some women in your life and his. They'll help a lot. When in a pinch, call the nurses at his doctor's office for advice. They'll love it and feel proud to help.

He is beautiful. This made me cry in happiness. As for advice, just cuddle and love him as much as possible because before you know it they want to borrow the car. Mine are 17 and 14 and I swear just yesterday I was changing their diapers. This time is so precious. Good luck and we need a family portrait.

I have to echo Soilwork....you are brave indeed. I think it takes great courage for anyone to raise a child in today's world.
