OJ book and TV deal canceled

Judith Regan, publisher of "If I Did It," said she considered the book to be Simpson's confession.

So did I.

(I couldn't see any egg on his face, though. Too bad. It would look good on him.)

That's good news. I can't believe Fox even considered that deal.

but isn't he still getting paid......... for the book.

3.5 million USD.

doesn't he still owe Nicole and Ron's family money for the civil suit? If he got any money, he should finally pay that off.

The Goldman's were on Larry King last week, and are looking into that. They feel he probably had the deal set up someway that it is going to be difficult for them to claim anything from him. Haven't heard anything else since then.

Yes I belive he still owes them over 30 Million. Man thank good good taste and sanity won.

well i'm glad "they" canceled it, but it's not because of an "ill-considered project." it's because they caught so much hell for it, otherwise it would still be airing.

This is well beyond "bad taste".

I wish that O.J. Simpson would fade from the public's eye.

I have never felt so repelled by a person as him.

Rupert Murdoch has not let principle ever stand in the way of making a buck - in fact he has dedicated his life to selling to the highest bidder (his Australian nationality was dumped some years ago so he could make more money as a USA citizen!) and he is associated with the sleaziest of enterprises and guilty of wholesale news-bias in his media empire.

The end always justifies the means for Rupert and that will always be his m.o. - don't let's kid ourselves he has any finer feelings unless they are rooted in self-interest.

So what's to say about O.J. Simpson? Let him sink, with his erstwhile publisher, back into the slime that he came from.

am i the only one that was actually curious to read about how he did it? I'm a little miffed it got canceled, i wanted to read it.

One small piece of good news today, I just hope he has to return the advance he got.

I am of course thrilled with the news. However I do not want Simpson to return the money, I want the Goldman's to get it as part of the civil settlement they won. THAT would be justice for the family and Fox would take the loss as punishment for what they attempted to do by making money out of this tragedy.
I also want a public burning of all the books already printed.

I'm thrilled with the action.
What a slap in the faces of the Brown & Goldman families if the deal had gone through. Not only were their loved ones murdered, but the prick who did it was cashing in for millions.
Quite a legacy he'll be leaving his children.
