I need a list of recording artists whose live versions sound as good if not better than the studio version.

Obviously the Queen of replicating studio magic live is our Lord and Savior Josus Christ. Who else?

This clip has been attributed to the Andy Williams Show, 1970.
It absolutely floors me to realize The 5th Dimension is singing Live to recorded music on a television show!

Marylin McCoo's delivery is so perfect it's easy to believe she's lip-synching - listen closely to one of the great singers of the 20th century.

Not a studio version, but the difference between recorded and live: last Sunday, I attended a production of Andrea Chénier at the Royal Opera House in London with Jonas Kaufman in the title role. His voice was spectacular, his performance deeply moving. This clip from perhaps a decade ago is impressive, but nothing can match the excitement of actually being there experiencing true greatness.

OMG!

What power he has in his voice. Yet his delivery is so smooth it's like listening to a mastered recording!
