They messed up, however, and as things stand right now in Oklahoma there is hate crime legislation if you beat up a gay person for being gay, but not if you beat up a religious person for their religion. D'Oh! :=D: :rotflmao:

The Oklahoma state and national legislators are idiots, pure and simple. They demonstrate it repeatedly.

I hate that channel and that guy who hosts it. He's boring and lame.
Here's part of the reason why stuff like this happens in Oklahoma by the way. This is a much better video:

You call Cenk from The Young Turks "boring and lame" and follow that up by posting a video with a host more monotone than an 80-year-old professor of physics? Permission to facepalm.

Permission granted.

Not exactly.

The bill was about compliance with federal law.

Oklahoma doesn't have a hate-crimes law covering LGBTs.
Right, that was poor wording on my part. Per the video, assuming anyone watched, the legislation proposed was to exempt OK from the new federal hate crime law. To their detriment, they made an error. Hilarity ensues. (!)
