Olberman Meltdown

I couldnt believe my eyes when i saw his cable ratings! some guy named Bret Baier (who??) on Fox consistently has 3 times the viewers per show

That's only because it's too hard to watch this guy whine and make an ass of himself whenever the issue of homophobia comes up. They're probably changing the channel to Fox News because even that's slightly less painful to endure.

I've said it before and i'll say it again: Keith Olbermann is a massive embarrassment

Fox News blew all the socks off CNN and MSNBC during the Mass senatorial election. Below is a copy (link below the insertion) of the numbers from the Huffington Post.

Why do people watch FOX NEWS.

From Huffington Post, 1-21-09 by Danny Shea
Scott Brown's upset of Martha Coakley in Tuesday's Massachusetts special election spelled a major ratings boon for Fox News Channel.

That rocked. ..|

As I said, Olbermann can be brilliant, and has been far more brilliant than anything Limbaugh has ever, ever managed. But he has his moments in the gutter, too.

And increasingly, those moments have been taking up more of his air time. He was alright once Obama won (less whiny, more honest), but since the dems have started losing control of the agenda he's gone downhill big time.

Is he on every night?

I recall once when I was doing a column for a school paper; when I had to write four times a week, my quality went down. I caught myself taking cheap shots, mostly because I was pissed at the job. I told them I wasn't going to write that often; they didn't like it.

So I quit -- but then it turned out the president of the school was a big fan, and he told them to get me back no matter what it took. I wrote when the urge struck, not when pushed, and my quality shot back up.

I wonder if Olberman is having the same problem....

I think its more of him being frustrated at the lack of progress in regards to his party's agenda. He also got this way right before the election, so perhaps he's just letting the, erm, excitement get to him in a way that removes his 'filter'.

I can buy that, too.

I wish they'd let the pressure off somehow, though -- I really like him when he's in top form.
