The song " My Dad by paul petersen" is very good.
How come i never heard of it.

when saw the title i thought about older britney songs :D haha

Telstra, I heard all of these when they were first played on the radio.

Me too. This was quite a trip down memory lane.

I always watched Bandstand and was dying to be on it, but by the time I was old enough they'd moved from Philly to LA.

I remember owning the 45 rpm of Leader Of The Pack. I played it so often that it was full of scratches and skips, so I had to buy another one ("Do you get the picture?" LOL)

I also remember watching the original episodes of The Donna Reed Show, when Paul Peterson and Shelly Fabares sang their songs. I just loved Johnny Angel. And I had quite the crush on Paul Peterson as he got older on the show. (I was about 12, I guess.)

Anyway, thanks Telstra for starting this thread. I've really enjoyed it.

Your welcome Josher.

I think some of the old classic songs should be recreate with new modern sound (more base & more beat).

Ah a time before Lollipop wasn't a sexual thing..

We were gonna do a play at my school when I was in middle school chorus. We had a chorus teacher who was an older gent and who was going to do a spin off thing of Cinderalla called "Cindy" to avoid legal shit.

We were gonna use songs like "The Game of Love", "Please Mr. Postman", and some other great oldies songs. But some damn asshole students got my teacher fired. But yeah I kinda like some oldies. I enjoyed watching that movie "Dirty Dancing" and enjoyed the music in the movie.

These music is good but I still prefer the music I listen too.
