Omg A Cold- Call for Remedies

I am soon returning to bed.

At least I can keep my eyes open a bit more today.

In the end it has been the conjunctivitis in both eyes that is most horrible....it has been painful and persistent now for 3 days.

The best thing to do is try to avoid getting one in the first place. Get proper sleep and exercise. More importantly: Leafy greens. Cruciferous vegetables. Berries. Red onions. Raw garlic every day, as if it were a vitamin. Speaking of vitamins, get them from food, not pills. Especially vitamins A, B and C.

I haven't had a cold or virus since I was thirty. :gogirl:
Eat enough garlic and your garlic breath will keep everyone with germs far away!

More seriously, though, a lot of this should be health promoting in general (not possibly avoiding colds).

Crawled right up on my chest....made biscuits, washed my face and bumped and nuzzled me until settling down between my legs.

She is more of a nurturer than I thought.
Maybe she's being coldly pragmatic. She needs to make sure the human is OK, because the human fills the food dish!

Vannie I curse you every time the wind is blowing northeast.

I hope you having been getting better since your last post.
Thanks so much.

And update....we are back in the office this week although both of us still feel a little wobbly.

And just a warning.

This adenovirus with conjunctivitis was flagged as the next possible pandemic earlier this year in a paper to the NIH.

Wash your hands every 5 minutes.

DO NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES.

Avoid any child anywhere all the time.

Wear masks.

DO NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES.

If you are immunocompromised, seek some advice from the DOC and watch symptoms. but

DO NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES.

If you do get it...be aware that it survives laundry and you may be infectious for up to 4 weeks. Stay away from elderly and very young children!

DO NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES.
