On this day in 1833 Alfred Nobel, the famous Swedish chemist and researcher and inventor was born. He is best remembered in our day because the notorious Nobel Peace Prizes are given in his name.

In fact, he is the inventer of military missels and land mines two of the most infamous inventions in modern warfare. So it is my humble opinion that the remembrance of Alfred Nobel today is a bit of an oxymoron. :eek:
