One basis for Trump's impeachment

I'm not sure if the cap (which is overpriced by at least $165) is a conflict of interest...it probably is.

But certainly the Argentina thing, where his hotel is no longer "frozen" a mere three days after he asked the President there to "release" his hotel so that he can remodel it, or finish it, or open it, or whatever he hasn't been able to do, most certainly IS.

I think the Argentine hotel issue would be a matter of exercising undue influence, not conflict of interest. But either way it suggests Trump fits better with the heads of banana republics than with civilized nations.

Another possible reason for impeachment:

A "secret CIA assessment" said, in a Washington Post article released tonight [Friday/9th], that Russia got involved in the election, to make sure that Donald Trump would get elected. They did so by leaking "news" that would destroy Americans' confidence in the election, and by doing other things.

Is this via Trump's encouragement. Remember, in the summer, he ASKED RUSSIA TO HACK CLINTON'S EMAILS.

TREASON.

I didn't see anything suggesting they actually hacked and flipped voting machines or such, but this IS NOT GOOD.

TRUMP - PUTIN 2016 "MAKE RUSSIA GREAT AGAIN" had more substance than we may have known, though it was suspected for months.

Only for the money. That's the only reason he wants to be president. Rarely has the United States seen a more corrupt president. And, what's worse, he's being blatant about it and waving it in everybody's face.

No, in jest he asked the Russians to find the tens of thousands of emails which Hillary and the State Department were claiming no longer existed. The point was that while she made them available for hacking by the Russians, they are unavailable to Congress.

He isn't president yet.

^ He has made his motives very clear from the very beginning. The man has been in the business of making money virtually his entire life. He will not stop. He cannot stop.

By the way, not responding to three efforts at communication from the General Services Administration concerning the lease is also a clear indication. My guess is that he's not responding because his lawyers are tearing that lease apart looking for a loophole.

So you are accusing him of corruption because, you say, he cannot stop. For shame, for shame.
I have no doubt that he and his lawyers are indeed making a decision what to do about the hotel and the lease. Obviously it does require a decision, but the best answer may not be instantaneously apparent. I doubt if he is looking for a loophole, which would imply that he plans to keep it. More likely he plans to divest it but needs to decide what his options are, how and to whom. He could, for instance, transfer it to a charity like the Clinton foundation. (lol, lol).

Or he could just sell it to some Russian mafia buddies. Doesn't his campaign manager know someone?

(Lol, lol, still not funny)

"Made them available"?

If she made them available, there wouldn't have been any need for hacking.

Not taking calls is irresponsible. He could have an attorney talk for him, but he should be taking the calls.

If the GOP hadn't been such a circus for the last batch of years, it might have an actual statesman of stature able to go to the Oval Office and lay it on the line, taking some colleagues along to make it a sort of "Shark Tank" where Trump has to meet them sufficiently. But they've got no one

This is so true on many levels. Republicans had the largest pool of candidates, a whole parade and the electorate chose trump. As he surrounds himself with sycophants the ship of state will sink in madness. Of this, I am sad and frightened. He did not raise the bar one iota.

I'm thinking of members of Congress. They have no statesmen at all, no one with real stature.

Of course the whole business of direct election of senators makes it unlikely that either party will have many, but to have none is truly sad.

Exactly, Brother, Exactly.
