That's my take on the world situation this summer. Israel mounting offensives on two fronts, no good answers for the bloodshed in Iraq, the nuclear threat (real and current) in North Korea and the same on a future basis from Iran, the entire Islamic world ambivalent at best and outright hostile at worst toward the U.S. and the planet warming up at a rate that has us on the brink of Al Gore's tipping point.
Am I bummed out or not? And shouldn't you be too? Yeah.
There is no one "vote" that'll fix any of these dilemmas - time is not on our side - so where's the solution. I don't know - as I said I'm bummed out.
We can find temporary respite in turing off the TV, abandoning the Drudge Report and surfing porn but the problems are still there an hour, a day, a week later.
That's the way it is - July 13th, 206 at 7 05 pm CDT.
