The liberty mutual commercial that QuietChivalry posted made me tear up a little, which is nice because I love getting that warm feeling of people helping and it's a long time until Christmas.
The Flea Market Montgomery commercial that Nightmare posted was more disturbing than amusing. Doesn't reflect well on the population of Montgomery (assuming Alabama) that I will think of this video from now on whenever I meet someone from there.
The Guinness one might be my own new favorite. I love enjoying Bass and Harp so they've already got my product support, but this commercial makes me feel like I've got their social acceptance too. I don't know what makes it so great, but there are some days when I'm the suit and somes days I'm wearing the gloves, but every day I dream of having one worth keeping.
I've actually seen MattieMich's GE commercial before, and really enjoy it, the kind of family atmosphere that encourages you to procreate regardless of your sexuality. Unfortunately I'm mad at GE for ending its sponsorship of the EPCOT illuminations show at Disney World after 8 years or so. Siemens sponsors it now and it is still a great show but when you are accustomed to hearing "GE. We bring good things to life," you miss it when it is gone. I had to wonder, have they stopped bringing good things to life or did they feel the coolest show at Disney wasn't a good thing anymore. Still, commercials like this will keep them in the public's good graces for many years, and an actually commitment to global conservation should insure their financial success as well.
The thread starter, the Hu-Human element from DOW I remember seeing during the US superbowl and really liking, that one also makes me tear up. I thought it was one of the most creative messages ever presented in an ad and continue to enjoy it. Unfortunately the dark side of my mind warps it as well and I think "Umbrella Corporation" when I see the DOW chemical symbol appear and twist at the end of the commercial. This is the fictitious megacorporation from the Resident Evil video games and movies that has such world influence that it can conduct extremely controversial scientific research secretly and without consequence because it answers to no one. Kind of like Wal-mart in how they treat employees and their social effect on a local population.
