I often state that there may be a ghost in our place as well. At least, the cats seem to enjoy staring at the blank wall and/or ceiling for long periods of time...and we certainly don't see anything there. I usually wave at the spot they're staring at and say, "Hello, ghost." If it is a ghost, it's awfully benign - it hasn't done anything but simply be there yet.
