My little brother got arrested.

And my world came crashing down.

I still love him more than anything and I live for the day he gets out and we can go riding together.

But I just wish he was with me here.

I've said that I can't talk about what he did until he gets out.

If I discussed it here, I could make it worse for him.. once he's out... I'll explain it all.

I'm hoping that you and your brother can SOON be partying, hanging out and riding together! I know it's a bummer not being able to celebrate this birthday with him, but every day gets him that much closer to his release.

I won't ask what circumstances got him there, and there's no reason that you "should or must" discuss the specifics. I'm totally cool with you keeping some of it private. I've known a number of people who have been incarcerated over my lifetime...and, in many cases, people in prison should NOT be there at all.

Hang in there, and I assume that you've been in touch with him as much as is feasible. That surely gives him hope, knowing that he is loved and missed during these times. Does he have any marriage or children?

The siege will soon be over!!! (I don't remember your mention of that, but Effortless_Pro has seen it somewhere.)

still in my gallery. Funny thing is that he's adopted. very long story. But not unlike Buffy suddenly having Dawn, I suddenly had Carl... that I had to protect at all costs.

Not unlike Dawn, the last thing he'll see is me defending him.

I know it sucks for you right now and more so for him since he's in there. But you know that his time is getting short and before too long he'll be out and on the road with you again. Hang in there and be strong for the both of you. You guys are in the final stretch.
