I love when I get a stray onion ring with my Burger King freedom fries! I don't get why McDonalds doesn't have onion rings!

And something random, I got a stray fried plantain with the fries I got at a chinese food place I went the other day. I can't even find fried plantains on the menu! But it was good!

Burger King Onion Rings aren't that great. Now Harvey's Onion Rings are awesome because they make them fresh everytime.

Burger King onion rings?
Man they are horrible and have been so for at least 20 years. Don't know why you would be pleased in getting one mixed in with your french fries.

I do wonder why BK has offered these dreadful things on their menu for so long. They are basically one tiny piece of onion surrounded by a bit of bland breading. You cannot taste onion at all, just deep fried breading.

A true onion ring consists of a large piece of onion, freshly cut and breaded, fried in fresh oil.

The best rings are always found in local restuarants. Where I live there is a local chain called Artic Circle, always fresh rings with just the right amount of breading and thick onion slices.

I won't vouch for the taste of those onion rings (it's been years since I went to a fast food joint, since reading Fast Food Nation), but, yeah, the surprise of finding something different in your food is ... special.

And so gay. :-)

Congratulations on your onion ring.

Mmmmm, yummy, I agree. I don't eat fried stuff very often, so if I'm gonna have an onion ring, I want a REAL one.

I shouldn't have clicked on this thread. Now I'm hungry.

Hey Smellyass! I wasn't interested in eating onion rings, I just saw your avitar and your gallery and thought about how tasty your ass would be. I'd love to chew on it a while and it would be less fattening. (!) (!) *|*

Here in the suburbs of Chicago, there's a place called Hackneys. They have an onion loaf. The load up a fry basket with onion rings and cook it.

It's delicious.

I love onion rings they are my favorite. BK's are so so they aren't like Arby's curly fries. If you could however find a nice beer battered one that is best. Windmill ones here are pretty bangin.

Thank you Chef Boy Ar Dee! J/k Tony :) I know what you mean

That's happened to me a few times. I do enjoy it, too. Onion rings rock in low amounts. ;)

BK onion rings are alright if they are very hot. I love that giant fried onion blossom they serve in steak houses.

I hate Burger King all together their service is worse than any other fast food place out there.
