In the same way that porn itself divides into categories ie hunks, jocks, twinks, daddies, piss, scat, leather, etc the sites themselves also seem to have distinct categories. There are specialist sites like www.ebonyd.com www.latinjocks.com www.latinboyz.com www.miamiboyz.com but never the twain shall meet. www.UKNakedMen.com seems to have more diversity than most - as does www.mikehancock.com but the simple fact is that as a business, you go for what you know you can sell. Clearly, because there was a gap in the market, the sites above have used that to their advantage.

However, the only way that SC, CF, FratMen, Chaosmen etc are going to change is if market forces (ie their subscribers) dictate a need for change.

Porn is porn. If a person is attractive, regardless of what race he is, he will generally be popular. I do find having racial preference, and dismissing those who are not of you're prefered race, are very racially insensitive. There should never be a preference of race. If you're attractive, you're attractive. Everybody has the potential to be attractive whatever race they are.

As for how ethnic porn is presented currently... if stereotypes were dropped and attractive people did porn as themselves, any minority would have equal appeal to the market - as long as they aren't racism, but the blatant.

Porn is pretty much still a very racially insensitive business. To segregate people regarding their race is borderline racist if we are going to be politically correct.

There is a lot of diversity, it's just not all on the same site. Each site has a "look" of it's own. Most sites don't mix it up for whatever reason. I love all kinds of men and love a variety. And what about the age factor. As soon as a site like SC or CF posts a model that's 30, some people make nasty remarks about old gays. And if you look at one of the many Latin sites, there's no diversity there either. It's all Latinos. Same with black sites, so it's not necessarily a white thing.

I think people don't realise that a few decades ago, the Devil was lynching blacks on the streets of our country, we've come a long way since then, and we need to celebrate that. Things will not change overnight, governments and law can be used to achieve equality, but people's minds will change over time, when they'll feel ready for it. Whats attractive is dedicated by the media and popular culture, and if us whites make up the majority of the US population, naturally, attractiveness will be defined by our standards, and can change over time.

Rick, Don't know if you've ever belonged to Blake Mason, but they do have models who are men of color. One of their most popular models Ryan B. did a video with one of the guys. So that sort of compares to what Phunk wrote about if Dawson were to do a video with a black man. Check the site out. I believe the Brits have less of a hang-up that we do over here in the States. And for that, I applaud them.

Not sure if you knew, but the Latin Grammys is not for a particular race, Latinos can be black, white, or mixed! Latin Grammy is language based, its a Spanish language prime time program carried on an English language channel, so your point is totally invalid.

And just in case you are forgetting, it is not Latinos or Blacks who had systematically tried to destroy the culture and language of many minorities in the course of our not so glorious history, so please, try to think twice before you bash BET, try to understand where it comes from, why there was a need for that. Why are you surprised? All I gotta say is think about the state of racial relations in this country a few decades ago? If some people could, they'd have all non-whites incinerated. In my experience, homosexuals are equally, if not more racist than everyone else. I'm sure you've read about the many many cases of racist incidences in the Castro in the past few years. Castro, which is supposed to be a refuge for gays, is also unfortunately infested with evils like racism and discrimination.

i wasn't even gonna bother responding in this thread, but i have to say that's one of the dumbest responses i've seen. lemme say this. as a black man i would LOVE to see more diversity in porn, but i'm really not holding my breath on things changing. i don't really look at it as a discrimination thing, exactly. it's like other posters have said, they go with what they know is gonna sell. the few vids that i have seen, the guys are either way over the top with stereotypical "gayness", or trying to hard to play "thugs". i do agree with the poster who said that a big part of the problem for studios like SC and CF is that even if they wanted to, i'd imagine it would be hard to get "str8" black and latino guys to do a lot of things the white guys do. it really sucks but it's not hard to realize that our communities still continue to be the least accepting of anything homosexual.

I am a white Latino and am only attracted to white men or white latinos of European heritage. I'm not a racist and have 2 really good friends that I grew up with who are black. I enjoy my memberships to Sean Cody and Corbin Fisher.. in my opinion, both sites have top notch white guys and the occasional Latin guy. Very rarely do I see black or any other ethnic group or racial category. and thats the way I like it. Why should I pay for a site and be eager about an update only to be disappointed when its a guy that I will not be attracted to.
