Open letter to Sarah Palin

As much as I don't want to see a Republican president, I do not want to see Sarah Palin win the Republican nomination. She's a moron and is unfit to hold any public office. If she won the Republican nomination, it would be a huge embarrassment to everyone in the United States.

I prefer the Republicans put up a real candidate with a brain. In a democracy, politicians should have to justify what they did in office when they seek re-election. Even though I would vote for Obama over any Republican, I still want him to have to convince a majority of voters to vote for him. Allowing him to breeze into office would not make him a better president and would not the country a better place. It might make him and the democrats more arrogant and less responsive.

Johnson, Nixon and Reagan won re-election by huge landslides against very weak candidates. Their second terms all turned out pretty bad.

And what's the alternative to a future President Palin? A Democratic President with a conservative agenda?
Surely it's better to have the real thing?

The Obsession with her is a Distraction from Mitt Romney.

When he puts his bid in for President, He will appear to be a more moderate SANER frontrunner and a welcome relief for the Republicans.

Meanwhile, The Democrats will have spent all their time and energy on Palin.

Now, granted I disagree politically with almost everything that has ever come out of her mouth, but that doesn't mean I harbor any ill feelings toward her.

I'll have to agree there. She differs from McCain in this respect: he is such a loathsome, bigoted, anti-liberty creature that I harbor a broad selection of ill feelings toward him.

Well, when the media won't stopping rubbing her in our faces, what do you expect?

You want to see her nominated so Obama has an easy win.
But what if those non-thinking teaparty rednecks rise up like they did during the midterm elections and she actually wins?

We can't afford four years of a president with half a brain at a time like this in our country.

If she wins, it will be the same reason that Prop 8 passed and so many Republicans got elected this recent round: Democrats not caring enough to get off their asses and vote.

BTW, Bush has an IQ on par with JFK, by all the analyses. What he did with the two dozen he wasn't using to be president, I don't know, but he did have them. Palin... my estimate looking at her record is an IQ right down at the bottom of all our presidents -- so she wouldn't even have a reserve we could cross our fingers and hope she'd bring out.
