hey!

So I've had oral sex twice. Once with a guy, once with a hooker.

With the guy I didn't use a condom. He went down on me, i went down on him. That, and some frothing. He didn't cum in my mouth.

With the hooker, I did use a condom.

This was between 4-6 months ago.

What are the chances that I might have HIV or AIDs, or another STD?

50% chance of having HIV, AIDS or another STD.

You should visit a doctor and get yourself tested, that's the only way of knowing.

I don't believe those numbers are correct. I believe most of the science says that it is extremely rare to contract HIV through oral sex. You are much more likely to pick up some other STD.If you haven't been tested, you should.

How much time since my last encounter should I wait before getting tested and knowing BEYOND DOUBT I'm clean?

I would think your chances are small of having HIV, but get tested now. You have waited long enough to detect any infections.

Get tested now and at least once a year.

Oh, and how accurate is a NEGATIVE result from the free tests given in universities and community centers (the ELISA, I think)?

50% chance of having HIV, AIDS or another STD.

There are two possibilities, either having an std or not. However that doesn't mean the odds of both possibilities are equal at 50%. That is not the case.

The chances are 100% or 0%. And when you get tested, you'll know which is the answer.

Probabilities on these kinds of things don't matter if you're the person with an STD. If you are sexually active, part of the deal is that you need to get tested for STDs- both the conventional STDs like gonorrhea and the less conventional STDs like HIV.

Since OP has been sexually active, the simplest way to resolve all of this is to get tested.

So, the condomless guy was on the first week of july. The hooker with condom was the last week of august.

If I where to take my the standard test given for free at public hospitals and universities, and it cames as a NEGATIVE, I can stop worrying, right?

If the test is done by a reputable clinic, hospital, lab , yes you can stop worrying if it's negative.

There is such a thing as a false postive, never heard of a false negative, though they could exist I suppose.

But I would feel good about a negative report. Just do it..... :-)

lol.
just go to your local sexual health clinic and get tested instead of wasting time online.
you should get tested every 3 months or every 15 sexual partners.

I'm not sure about other STI's but it is pretty much impossible to catch HIV through oral sex. dont worry about it. have fun!

If you're getting blown by a guy who is HIV positive, I mean on a regular basis, is there a high risk?

I would get tested but I live in the fucking most redneck, backwards place in the world Alabama and I wouldn't feel comfortable getting tested for personal reasons. Sounds retarded but its my situation. I heard receiving is so low risk that there has never been a documented case of someone acquiring HIV from receiving oral. I don't have anal sex with my current spouse but I believe we fucked like twice and I haven't been tested since. I think I am fine though and am not too worried.

In about an hour, I'm heading to the lab with 10 bucks to get tested. I hope 5 months has been enough window period!

There are plenty of private labs, as well as counseling centers like Planned Parenthood that offer testing. And in most states, the HIV testing programs are anonymous- you're given a number and a date to return for you results. They don't know your name and if there's a fee you just pay in cash.

I heard receiving is so low risk that there has never been a documented case of someone acquiring HIV from receiving oral.

It's always hard to know exactly how someone was infected- most of the time, we are going solely from what the person reports. But several centers have had cases of HIV transmitted from receptive oral sex and there is enough reliability to say that it happens but it's not the primary means of transmission.

I read there has been zero cases of HIV transmission from oral sex.

I'M NEGATIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

I kinda knew it all along. I just knew that without seeing it on paper, my really powerful mind will start playing games with me...

Anyways, thank you all for your support!

congratulations! I just saw this thread, so i find out you're okay along with your worries.

Hey man, I live in Alabama too. A beautiful state and pretty good climate. You can find backward people in any state.

I live in a small town rural area but you can still get tested. See thread on how I got tested http://www.justusboys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=331655

I did pay for this, but I am told there are free or reduced fee clinics through out the state. Each county health department does them too. In my case I didn't want the locals knowing I was getting tested so paid for mine. Or you might be able to go to GA, Fl, MS or TN to a clinic, free or reduced price.

I also was confident I was disease free and the 8 panel test proved I was correct.

Be responsible , get tested.

Oh, I live in NE AL
