Oral Sex May Cause More Throat Cancer Than Smoking in Men

I'm pretty sure that's not going to stop me from giving as much head as I possibly can.

yeah I mean, it seems like every thing causes some kind of cancer.

You can seal yourself in a clean room and you will probably have a longer life, but it will suck.

Just gave my bf some head...is that bad now?

I hope it's like cigarettes. When your give it up, after a while, your risk of cancer decreases. I wonder if the same is true about oral sex.

What nonsense.

What free radicals does ingestion of semen unleash?

Nowadays, it seems like ANY sexual activity will lead to some horrible disease or death.

Anal = cancer and AIDS
Vagina = cervical cancer
Oral = cancer and in some cases, AIDS

No wonder I see more people into scat now. Eating and fucking shit is probably safer.

They're talking about PMV -- that's a virus. I think this is worth taking seriously, especially since they don't know yet whether the PMV vaccine works for this form of the virus. But of course everybody has to make their own decision about the balance between risk and pleasure they can live with.

I'm confused - what part of this 'report' gives new information? We've long known that going down carries a risk of sticking a cock in our mouths that is shedding HPV and that a consequence of that would be the inherent risk of the development of HPV in the throat. We've also long known that HPV can encourage the growth of cancerous cells. What are we actually learning that is new from this? Or is this all about just stirring up fear?

Metta said:
I don't think so.... Multiple encounters with multiple people is what increases your risk.
That isn't sound logic: Multiple encounters with people shedding HPV increases one's risk on contraction of HPV, but that isn't the same thing as simply multiple encounters with various partners increasing the risk of HPV infection!

We are all going to die of something one day. Enjoy life while you can.

Good lord, more people are going to get throat cancer from acid reflux, smoking and alcohol than are going to get it sucking cock.

Multiple encounters with multiple people is what increases your risk.

Where in the article did it say it was about gay oral sex?

I did read somewhere throat cancers in men show far more men than mostly assumed suck cock. Even str8 guys seem to suck lots of cock. The article pleaded for vaccination of all men especially when they are assumed to be str8.

Use a dental dam and cry me a river about the taste.

Or, live a little.
