Oreos now available in UK!

It's only a matter time of time. Just lay back and accept it.

"mr christie makes good cookes"

fuck nabisco

it's a canadian thing y'all

If there's a heaven it is that.

Did you read the rest of the story?
I sicked it up. On a train platform.

And it was disgusting. But I don't like Oreos anyway. They're too crumbly. It's like eating metal filings.
Give me plain old bourbons anyday.

I suspect that anyone claiming to actually like them is either a mole planted by the Nabisco Chemical Corporation or has a pallet of pure asbestos.

it's the latter in my case, but in my defense, you really need an asbestos palate to survive my parents' cooking.

Endless calories.....

Obesity in the UK is on the rapid increase.. I remember reading that even though it is higher in USA, it is increasing at a faster rate in the UK.

So, why import these endless calorie foods?!!!!!!!!!

Lol, j/k. though, they do seem fattening and I would never eat one!

Though, I must say those fudge mint oreo's look deliciousssss...

Maybe it is to satisfy the hunger cravings of the UK teenage mothers, highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe apparently. :Rational Lunacy Smiley:

Lol, probably!

Gah, it must be an English thing.. Because USA and UK have high pregnancy rates!(And obesity for that matter.) :p

I too would rather see a preggy woman standing than fat girl sitting!

As an Englishman, I have grown up with the Oreo Cookie as some mythical wonder cookie which you Americans have a one of the four basic food groups (along with Coke, Hotdogs and Taco Bell). Oreo references occurred in may of my favourite American tv shows and films. I occasionally saw them on sale in specialist shops at luidicrously high prices so never bought them. They have now been released on general sale. I had one today. My first ever taste of an Oreo. It was fucking awful. A truly disappointing, bland, tasteless, foul textured excuse for a biscuit.

I shall add it to the list of vile American food icons along with Dr Pepper, Beef Jerky, Hershey Chocolate, Budweiser and Dominoes Pizza.

Pepperidge Farm cookies are the best in the US..... period. Oreos suck IMO.

I guess it's great Oreos are finally out in in the UK, but there are much better cookies out there. Oreos are just too dry, and to me they just don't taste very chocolaty...or good.
Now Dare cookies on the other hand are wonderful. I could eat bags of their chocolate cookies all day, that's if I could find them anywhere .

You can't just eat an oreo. You have two basic options.

Option A - Dip the Oreo in milk until the lower half is saturated and then consume.

Option B - Twist the cookie apart lick the all of the creme from the middle and then you can choose to eat the remaing cookie halfs dry or put them back together and use Option A on the remainder.

You don't eat regular Oreos straight from the bag until you're addiction is already in full bloom.

Quick tip - Double Stuff oreos can be eaten freestyle any way you like. Double Stuff is the Oreo equivalent of freebasing. You can't really add to the experience.
