Im really glad Slumdog Millionaire won 8 Oscars
Same here...
Slumdog was unique and well composed. - My disappointment came with Hugh Jackman.

"I think Benjamin Button was the best!"
I did not watch the Oscars this year, but it was obvious who would take home the Gold..."Benjamin" is the only film in the category that I saw..I liked the film but it was a tad-bit too long..The acting saved the film for the most part...I still plan to see "Slum" and "Milk" if they hold-over in the local theatres...
"Benjamin's" supporting actress nominee Taraji P.henson was the HEART of that film. Taraji gave an awesome performance and had the Studio backed her she probably would have won...
Sean Penn is arguably the GREATEST actor to grace the silver-screen...however, i think he & his agent was looking for a 2nd Oscar and playing a Gay role grants oscar nominations and most of the time Oscar wins....
"The Dark knight" should have gotten better Oscar-love, but Successful box-office flicks are no longer IN..

Benjamin Button should have won the Oscar for best pic. People just rode the 'Bandwagon' that was Slumdog Millionnaire and hence it won. Not saying it wasn't a good film, but Button was better. And how the hell could Gran Torino not have gotten in?
