Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

In one of those rare Oscar ties both Zero Dark Thirty AND Skyfall wom Sound Editing.

Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

Argo wins Best Film Editing.

Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

Adele lip synced. It was so fucking obvious. Extremely disappointed in her. Hope she loses because of that but I doubt she will.

Unfortunately that performance was too boring to be lipped.

ALL the singing tonight has been marred by poor sound production.

There weren't many big names this year. I'm so glad they stopped people from applauding while the list of dead is named.

Don't want to exhume the dead with a seance via clapping.

Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

Best Production Design goes to "Lincoln"

Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

Disappointed in Adele's speech. I got hate from my fellow gays because I easily lost the supporting actress in our Oscar pool because I picked Sally Field out of spite against Anne Hathaway. Still up by +5.

Tarantino is such an egomaniac; is he Tourettes?

Her song was BORING though.

Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

haven't watched the Oscars since the travesty of Enya losing to Randy Newman... the whole thing is just politics and money, nothing to do with quality.

but I'll watch the Fashion Police coverage in a couple days because I like looking at pretty dresses and Joan Rivers is a funny bitch.

Are you 50? Joan Rivers hasn't been currently funny since she was on Hollywood Squares in the 80s. If you like Joan Rivers and hate Kathy Griffin, you are at least 50.

Best Production goes to "Lincoln".

Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

I wanna see Danny Day Lewis do Thatcher and Streep do Lincoln.

Did Tony Kushner write Lincoln? Does the movie have any gay sensibility?

Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

jack Nicholson looks like he's heading to Whispering Glades.

Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

Best Score: "Life of Pi".

Fuck me silly and call me Shirley Temple.

Re: Who's watching "The Oscars" tonight? Where?

It was okay. I lost 2 of my bets, didn't think Lee would win (thought Spielberg had it), didn't think Les Mis would lose costume. Best part was Jennifer Lawrence (as I expected). Not great, but not memorable...also, no one should ever invite Seth to host any award ceremony. I love Family Guy -- but his hosting was nothing other than atrocious.

I thought she went off-key midway through...I dunno about the lip-syncing.

Regardless, her performance was mediocre at best. If you saw during the live telecast, she got daggers at her for winning.

As for Dame Bassey, it was a decent nostalgia trip but oh I how I wish for a medley. I am sure Sir Tom Jones would come up for Thunderball, Sir Paul McCartney would do Live and Let Die and you could get someone from the modern Bonds besides the recent winner. I have always been partial to Sheryl Crow's Tomorrow Never Dies which would be a great finish to that medley.

Medleys are always the best route to celebrate a golden jubilee.
