I think i used to be like that. But now im much better and less sensitive to stuff like this. Im in university now, and if i was to greet everybody i know, or if i expected everyone who knows me to greet me, that could take the whole day. As you get to know more and more people who you will see everyday, it will become clear to you that people are not being mean to you in not greeting you, they are being realistic.

it still might be a good idea to TRY to discuss your sensitivity with those really close to you for two reasons - so they know, and so that you could get some feedback from them on what could be going on in their minds if they do not greet you. perhaps they are having their own troubles and do not even know you are there

Welcome to the club. I'm a way too sensitive person so I tend to keep all my emotions to myself.

Look,

Try to see, where the sense of being oversensitive starts working against you.

At that point, learn how to chuck it overboard.

Learn to shrug with your shoulders and tell yourself: "I have important things to do today. I have got to make sure tomorrow will be even better than today. I have neither time nor energy to worry too much about the reactions of the others. I have got to sort out my own shit."

Center your day upon your own objectives and plans and phase out the others. Oversensitivity towards the reactions of the others often tends to stem from our own shortcomings coupled with the lack of a plausible strategy to overcome them.

Somewhat. Most of the disagreements I have with a friend are due to miscommunications.

..and I know about the shy thing all too well. I'm TOO invisible :\

I've always been sensitive. I used to see that as a problem, but I've known so many cold-hearted people that I come to realize that being sensitive is a gift from God.

Wow. That's a great way to look at it!

I am definitely too sensitive about things. For example- Something happened on Saturday. I called my friend to tell him some important news. When he answered the phone, he gave me attitude about how he couldn't talk to me right now. He really hurt my feelings and I'm still upset. I am now contemplating whether or not I should never talk to him again. I think I'm getting a little off topic, but you get the point.

Yeah that usually happens to me, with my friends. Which is why I've tended to just not really show my sensitivity around people because it leads to an opening to where they can use your for their own personal advantage.

I agree with ML that being sensitive is a gift from God, I think it's a lot better than being bitter, shallow, cold hearted and down right mean to those who are sensitive and have feelings too.
