hey guys! im new to this whole thing but have met guys online before..... like this JUB community and glad there are toher ottawa'ers here too hahaha i'm at the university of ottawa and live in sandy hill. i would love to meet a group of hot guys like urselves and go clubbing etc unfortunately im not sure if i can go in the market to do so cuz im bisexual and not out at all. lots of my friends live in the market so it might get awkward .... hope this isnt offending anyone ...again im new to this..... but would love to go with a group of guys and have a good time!!

I was going to go but there were several factors:
a) no money. I'd kinda feel bad going if I can't buy anything.
b) decided to fix my computer once and for all - see this thread so as not to put it off later.

I wouldn't mind having coffee with anyone one-on-one to make up for it :)
 
Well, I have to apologize for my lacklustre performance this evening. I was so tired, I was unusually quiet tonight. I didn't mention it to ibox or waurau, but I was actually zoning out most of the night. My attention span was nil.

We ended up at the Royal Oak for dinner, then headed to the Centre Town Pub. A bit too quiet for me, especially when I'm in my catatonic state. I was ready to spread out on the bench and go to sleep. So, we all left and went to the Lookout in the market, which was much more fun, imo. We caught the drag queen show and some Asian chick asked me to dance. I'd just like to say that when she discovered that I was gay, (hello? I'm in a gay bar...what do you bloody well think I am?) got uber-excited, jumped on me and hugged me. It was like she just met a celebrity. Odd, to say the least.

Ottawadude23, I'm pretty well on campus everyday. If you want to meet up for lunch or something, just let me know. And don't worry too much about running into people in Sandy Hill. I have yet to run into people I know from school when I go to the Lookout.

Bayern, sorry to hear you're still sick. You've got my number now, so give me a shout sometime. And clubbing sounds good. I've got a bunch of str8 friends who want to come, too. (Yes, they want to come with me to a gay club)

Nathan, no worries. You'll get us next time, I'm sure. If you're downtown, let me know. Since campus is downtown, I can meet you for coffee pretty easily. I just won't drink the coffee.
 
It's pretty sad that I have to answer to the whims of my computer when it decides to act irrational :\

I'm pretty close to downtown, actually halfway between downtown and Carleton.
 
I had a good time. My two (non-JUB) TO buddies said they did (let's call one of them Bullzie because of his name on another website). I think my str8 buddy who we ran into at supper then joined for the night had fun. He commented a couple of times to me that gay bars are really no different than str8 bars. He and Bullzie had long political and artsie conversations.

Hal: I didn't realize you were tired. I couldn't help but notice you were out-of-sorts. Get some rest.

OttDude: IMO, Ottawa's best gay bar is Lookout (in the market). Just because you're there doesn't necessarily mean you're gay. There are always a few str8s both male and female.

Neil-the-bartender told me that the Lookout is going to show the Senators' game (on Wed Oct 4?). I'll probably be there. Since Wed=Karaoke night, maybe Hal can be convinced to go. Chances are his str8 karaokist friends will be there.
 
I've always wanted to do karaoke, just never anyone around to go with.
 
lol, oh you can bet that my str8 karaoke friends will be there. As for me, I'm really not that into karaoke, despite what you've seen so far. It's just that I need to be "active." Hence, why I end up dancing at the Lookout with even the slightest invitation. ;)

I'm actually working all day on the 4th, so I may be comatose at the bar. Who am I kidding? It's the lookout. I am working the next morning at 9, so I won't be out too late. Who's in?
 
Made a small move and now just settling down here..so let me know of any meet-ups.
