ouija boards

I didn't used to believe in Ouija Boards, but my friend and I were messing around with one, and it sent me this message:

XPGOUKWRPHL

If that ain't proof of the spirit world, I don't know what is.

that's a pretty clear message to me.. it means, get naked, lie down on your bed on your stomach, your about to be fucked by the spirit of a horny hunk. ..|

Really? I could had an "out-of-this-world" sexual experience had I read that correctly? DAMNIT!

...uh, so I probably shouldn't have bought all that Verizon stock, either?

Too bad I didn't at all find a good video of a bad situation with Ouija boards.

My sister and I messed around with a ouija board when we were 12 & 14. The board gave me the creeps then and it still gives me the creeps even today when I think about it. I would stay away from it myself, maybe even burn it! That's all I'm going to say!

That's all you're going to say? Hmm, now I'm curious. What did the board say to you?

I don't know what to think but I have a hobby in Paranormal Investigations and the Occult. I know from all the books that I've read on the subject that Witchboards (aka Ouija boards) are a bridge between our world and the spirit world. Never use the board by yourself and never mess around with things you don't understand. Now Science may say that such things don't exist but you have to remember....science was made by man to explain things and there are stranger things on earth then in heaven or hell.

Ouijia boards can be a return to innocense for me. Letting go of "reality" for a moment can be a reveling, provoking & powerfull experience. I also belive in a greater entity that controls the universe........

Have I played with an Ouija board before? YES! YES! (oui = YES in French, ja = YES in German.)

Many years ago - and nothing even remotely strange ever happened to me or those who I used the board with, as far as I know.

Logic, common sense and gut instinct tell us that something that's cheaply made in a factory in mass quantities can't possibly summon spirits from the unseen world, but on the other hand I don't feel like saying that it can't, either. After having had an experience (NOT related to Ouija) which I feel proved to me the existence of this unseen world, I doubt that I'll ever mess with one of these again.

NASA (according to rumor) spent millions of dollars to develop a ballpoint pen that would write in zero gravity.

Meanwhile, the Russians were using cheap pencils

Tarot cards are mass-produced. Some of the varieties' artistic styles look ridiculous to me, but in the hands of an adept reader, even a poker deck can be a tool for accurate divination.

The Ouija board is just a medium for spirits to communicate.

The method itself is cheap and amateurish, so it doesn't matter if the table and planchette were made by a 3rd grader out of construction paper and markers, or by an elder gypsy magician out of cypress wood and mugwort lampblack

Because the method is cheap, so are the spirits who are attracted to it.

Weren't the 'Parker Brothers' devil worshipers or 'dabblers in black magic' or something like that ?

Hmm, if only I had the Internet at my fingertips and could research something before posting it...

Oh, wait. ;)

Has anyone ever played around on one? Me and my friends got really drunk saturday night and started playing around on one and it said that my best friend was gonna die October 31st of nxt yr and her brother and her were gonna get into a fatal car wreck and then that I was gonna die when I'm 69, I don't really believe it but its still a lil bit creepy

Dude, get a second opinion

In most cases where any authentic spirit reaches the board, they could be trying to fuck with your head.

My only submission to using one was after the house I was sharing was already haunted.

The intent was to contact whatever spook(s) that open/closed cabinet doors, turned the faucets on and off, played tag with the cat, threw pictures off the walls, etc.

We wanted to know who it/they were, and why this stuff was happening.

At the time I knew enough protective magic to inadvertently keep any alleged ghost of Jimi Hendrix from the board, but I also repelled most things that could have been benign.

The only smooth message that came through was

"4 - V - U - N - V - U"

After pondering, I speculated that it read "four of you envy you," and that the 4 stoner guitarist roommates downstairs were jealous of my instant rapport with the my fellow upstairs roommate. Furthermore, those emotions fed psychic cooties.

I kept that board set for years as a sentimental artifact, until a couple of my proteges decided to play with it in my new home while I was at work, after which I snapped the planchette in half, and tossed the pieces in separate garbage cans.

Overall, I'd recommend Tarot or I Ching as an enlightening and fun exercise in lieu of Ouija.

Try these for quick oracles:

Supposedly, that was Proctor and Gamble, back in the days before the Christo-nuts had Tinky Winky's sexual orientation to pick on.

The logo --- crescent moon and 13 stars --- had more to do with Wicca or Islam than with devil worship.

My mom would freak out whenever I told her someone I knew had one. She wasn't religious or anything like that, but when she was a teen she would use it with my aunts and stuff and the things that happen would just freak them all out.

My aunt asked it once, how many kids she was going to have and who she was going to marry and for how long. It told her 8 kids, and the same man forever.

Today she has 8 kids and refuses to leave the man she is married to even though shes completely worthless and abusive.

My mom also told me that the day they stared to mess around with it, thei power was cut off, along with the water, and gas.

But yea, I dont like them. They freak me out.

Back in college my ex wife and I was playing around with one and was asking it qustions. to make a long story short she asked where he was at, it came back look down the hall. we both did and there stood a figure in black. we packed up my son and went back to my place. everyday after that she was followed with the smell of roses. It did not matter where she was, class, shopping or work she would feel someone around her and smell the roses. After that she never used one again.

I still use one and have not gotten anything from it. Right now the bord is with my other games.

Great story, gotta love those spirits that love to show themselves.

we tried to burn it, but the damn thing won't burn. So we ended up this throwing it in the trash. I'm not really worried about me it said I would live till i was 69 its my friend that supposed to die next yr i'm worried about.. hmmm guess i'll jus have to make some new ones

Pouring salt on the board is said to neutralize the negative energy. That's according to some experts. I know that sprinkling salt around your home will help get rid of negative entities.

Unless the ouija board was moving on its' own without anyone touching it I wouldn't be too concerned.;)

I used to have one. And I'd sit by myself at night and mess around with it (despite my friends saying, "Never use a Ouija alone! Never use a Ouija alone!") but nothing ever happened.

Chris.... you can't use one of those things alone. Not cause anything would happen to you, just that they cannot work with only one person.
I only used one a couple of times, when I was a teenager..... you've got to have at least three people... And the person that asks the question (an knows the answer) cannot have their hands on the device.

Best if you have a few people, maybe 5 or 6. And the questions asked should be other than those with yes or no answers.
Now man, I don't get in to the occult stuff, but we did this at a party in highschool and I'll tell you some of the questions that were answered amazed me.
Those that knew the answer weren't allowed to place their hand on the device.... All others could do so.
I only fooled around with the thing two times. Too spooky for me.
