There are a lot of stereotypes about gay men, so it is good to read that a relationship can last as long as that.

Thanks racer, yes it is true that you get to know you partner incredibly well.
We work together as well so we are together 24/7/365.

That is awesome too. If you do not know someone after 26 years, you probably never will. haha

I will say I am now thinking long term with my bf, the idea of having someone like that sounds great to me. I have to keep saying to myself "stop thinking so far ahead", but I can't help it. We just seem to compliment each other perfectly. I can't imagine not having him in my life now.

I hope we last as long as you guys. (*8*)
 
We are going onto 29 years now.

Out of interest:
There are 2 other couples of older guys in Durban that I know of. One couple have been together 58 years (Eric and Albert) and the other 53 years (Andre & Jack).
