I don't think that Betty White had any enemies and was liked by everyone. I enjoyed her acting and comedy, but realize that it was probably time to let go.

In 1954, during her variety show, Betty White procured the talents of this beautiful young tap dancer to appear on her TV show. The network demanded that she 'dump the Black guy'. Betty, as host and producer, told them to "Live with it." Arthur appeared and became a regular on Betty's programme until the network cancelled her highly-rated show within weeks. Betty refused to back down.

Arthur became a regular on The Lawrence Welk Show from 1964 to 1982.
