My mom doesn't want to fire her, but she wants me to do the dirty work... I am angry at our housekeeper. I am scared she will take revenge on my family for firing her. She is a crazy Mexican.

What is the best way to fire her?
 
maybe tell her nicely that she is no longer needed and give her some sort of present.


In the US most people have house keepers?
Are house keepers living in the house full time?
 
I wouldn't call her a crazy Mexican when you fire her.

And tell your mother to grab some balls and take responsibility instead of asking you to do the deed.

One possible easy way out is to say that because of the economy, your family must make some major cut backs on their expenses. And that your family will not be needing her services at this time. When things get better, we will consider hiring you back then.

It is a lie...but it will prevent problems.
 
If you want a good lie, tell your mom to tell her they have to let her go cause of the economy. :)
 
Tell her that you're going to get off your lazy ass and start doing your own housework and that you can't afford a maid to clean up after you anymore.
 
Well I am guessing you don't pay her much. If she was paid a fair wage maybe she wouldn't steal. I don't know... just ask her to leave.
