Notice the bolded part. I am especially harsh on people (like politicians) who use their power to hurt gays while living in the closet and am always outspoken on outing them. But someone just living a happy life minding his own damn business and supporting the LGBT community in the meantime?

I'm honestly surprised that you would ask the straight coming out question. No one comes out as straight because the majority of the population is straight.

I think when you're in the public eye, the more people that are out and telling their stories, the better.

In my opinion, if you value privacy so much, don't become a newscaster for CNN and put yourself in the public eye.

I disagree, especially in a national position like CNN.

Plus, you rarely hear straight people say that they won't talk their personal lives.

First off, I'm not planning on becoming a national TV spokesperson.

Second, if I were in that position, I would come out if I heard stories that I'd been sighted with men.

Third, I'm not finding plenty of hetero personalities that don't like disclosing their personal information. Not to mention, the very idea that we know they are hetero means they don't feel the need to guard their sexuality like Anderson.
 
Do they mean powerful as in influential? I assume they mean they are gay men who are powerful in their fields and not in the gay community because how can you be influential in the gay community if no one knows you are gay?

They may be the ambiguously gay duo, but they are not my heroes.
