I have just been channel surfing and was confronted with A Current Affair (Channel 9 , Australia) interviewing Rev Phelps from WBC...I am outraged that they would give him the time of day to spit forth his vitriol...I have never wanted to throw anything at my TV screen before now....Phelps has some serious issues and shame on Channel 9 for giving him the time of day.

I've always wondered whether Fred Phelps bathed in formaldehyde or not.

I do agree with you, shame on anyone that gives that ridiculous group any bit of publicity. They should have been left in that wacko corner like a good chunk of cults.

why would you watch a current affair?

why would you watch a current affair?

It was an accident...I was channel surfing and heard this outrageous statement and then realised it was Phelps...ACA is not normally on my TV viewing schedule.

i find it both very interesting and highly disturbing that the majority of media uproar is over the fact that they picket soldiers funerals and heath ledgers funeral, rather than it being outrage at the actual message they are preaching.

I think the only reason Phelps and his group were given any air time in Australia was because of the death of Ledger and the threat to picket his memorial service in Los Angeles. At any other time I would think Australians in general could'nt give a rats arse what he has to say. Just another American extremist.

Hehe I watched it too, what's her name the host gave it to him decently I think oh well the man's pure evil he's not in the slightest bit Christian and he's one of the few people in the world that I would not care if he lived or died simply for the horrible person that he is and the horrible things he has done to others and people that trust him
