Over 1 million signatures gathered for Walker recall

I've written this before on this board but it bears repeating: Mr. Walker makes his decisions based on the voice of Jesus, who speaks to him in his head. This "inner" voice has told him who to marry and what jobs to take. In his own words, he's said that he has no other choice but to obey. Cynics might write this off as just a figure of speech. It is not; he's absolutely sincere. Knowing that, it makes a lot of his behavior more understandable. It explains why he doesn't use reason or analysis before making a decision. After all, how could logic or problem-solving skills trump Jesus?

I firmly believe that when Mr. Walker gets to Heaven, Jesus will slap him around for a million years for his utter moronic stupidity in thinking that God gave him a brain but then sat down and wrote out "a wonderful plan for [his] life" so that the brain was redundant.

I get a huge laugh out of this kind of Christian who argue "God gave us free will, so we won't be puppets", in explaining Christianity, but then turn around and believe and teach that Jesus wants us to be puppets.

As far as not wanting to raise money for the recall, Mr. Walker loves that part of politics. It focuses attention on him and gets him the publicity (nationally, I might add) that he seems to crave. He's very narcissistic and has been since college. I know; I was there.

But Mr. Walker's . . . . past and present behavior has shown that he is a devious, uneducated, uncaring man. He could almost be termed a sociopath; he meets a lot of the criteria. He's a truly bizarre figure, and if I sat up all night I could not have dreamed up a person like Mr. Walker, much less imagined that he'd have an entire state to manipulate for his own political gain.

If you read my story Fit for Life in the story forum, you'll find a wicked governor. I tried to make him as nasty as anything in existence....
Walker tops him.

Bob --- I appreciate your passion on the issue given your sitch

but it should've been a Wisconsin issue and it is anything but due to overzealousness of the left

What?!

Fox News and Rush Limbaugh are eating up this story. It's overzealousness of the right that made national headlines.

The good thing is this loser will be kicked out of office. How much you want to bet he'll be on the Fox payroll?

Chance1: The Democrats weren't unsuccessful. Two Republican senators lost their seats; no Democrats did.

Chance1, I don't know you personally but I'm going to assume that you're a Republican. My advice would be to not defend this man. I've known plenty of Republicans who were honest, intelligent, and fair-minded people. I would include our last three Republican governors in that group. But Mr. Walker's none of those things. His past and present behavior has shown that he is a devious, uneducated, uncaring man. He could almost be termed a sociopath; he meets a lot of the criteria. The Dems hoped to gain control and spend millions (mostly from outside the state) - they did not

I'm no "fan" of scott walker - don't know him - I'm a NY'er

I think "recalls" are bullshit except in the case of doing something illegal

all articles on the subject have the dems spending far more than the repubs on these recall efforts

my only point is that the state of wisconsin is being "used" by national organizations that actually could give a shit about what happens in wisconsin

I watched Walker briefly on Fox "News" tonight with Greta Van-HooHa, or whatever her name is...

He actually said, "These protesters are just after more money, and that a new election would cost millions and that was (wait for it, it's one of GOP's favorite lines....) not a debt we could afford to pass down to our Grandchildren."

There was SO much wrong with just that small portion of the interview that I think I sprained something diving for the remote control.

It's definitely a national issue: all the corporation-favoring, wealthy-people-enriching, poverty-increasing legislation Walker has been pushing has been written in a (Koch-funded) institute that's been pushing it everywhere they can get a hearing.

But in a very real way it's a backwater: the real fight is the one to get all political 'rights' stripped from everyone except those who actually have rights -- living, breathing human beings who are legally part of the American public.

It's not a national issue

Gov. Scott often went on the news and cheered Gov. Kasich on when he passed the anti-union legislation in Ohio. They consulted regularly. Remember the conversation with the fake Koch brother. Scott talked of the national implications of what he was doing, and how he regularly spoke with Gov. Kasich

He used legislative templates by Koch Brothers funded think tanks to restrict voting rights. Why? Wisconsin Republicans obviously want to keep poor people, students, the elderly and minorities from voting in order to defeat President Obama and to take Senator Kohl's seat from the Democratic column.

He nationalized his governorship from the day he was inaugurated.

It is absolutely an issue that crosses state lines.

And if Walker is being funded and advised by out of state interests and conferred with other governors in other states, then it is fair game for anyone who is not a resident of his state to not only comment, but to do everything they wish to do to support his recall.

And as everyone has also pointed out. It has been the right who have turned it into a national campaign.

Finally, sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If those residents of other states speaking out on behalf of Walker and against recall think it should just be a discussion by people of that state, then they need to keep their opinions to themselves as well.

As a NY'er, city/state pensions/benefits is top of mind

Bloomberg and Cuomo seem to be on the same page now

and ridiculous, antiquated and lobbyist funded entitlement grabs will be slowed down significantly with changes to:

evaluation of teachers
pensions tied to invst. earnings, etc.

what the OBLC doesn't understand is that public union grabs ARE big business grabs

and the public (you) pay for it

wave the flag for the union guy

he's picking your pocket as you wave it

Funny how yet another thread just ends up being about calling other posters names.

sigh.

OBLC is one of his personal insults he uses as his argument is completely non-existent.

think of it this way ........

if you're looking for work you can always apply to the Main Stream Media

or Newsweek perhaps ;)

"Servicing" the President appears to be a very lucrative and high profile gig with LOTS of demand

and Rareboy - still on faux ignore? ;)

Obama Ball Lickers Club... he's been called out on it numerous times... it's no way to talk to others and it's not civil. Funny if I even go down that road I get a warning.

sarcasm is lost on you I guess ;)

This is the last 39 post in a nutshell.

Okay maybe 38.

Since we like to compile similar threads can we create one called ... yeah this is something everyone here agrees to ... and would like to say 'yeah I agree'....

Not really a discussion point in here is there?

LOL

This democracy at work and how to defeat the Koch boys.

I take the 5th ;)

here's today's op-ed about NY State/Governor Cuomo/Union Issues

it is a similar story to Wisconsin except that Gov. Cuomo is a Democrat unlike Walker - but the concept is the same - to STOP the unions from continuing to work to the detriment of taxpayers

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinio...s_occupation_of_albany_yKlq8HRJK3rUjDEmIgTGwI

The New York Post is just another Rupert Murdoch, union hating media outlet.

With respect to Frederick Dicker's claim in the op-ed you cite that the teacher's unions oppose teacher accountability, it isn't factually accurate. The New York Times reported as follows:

Michael Mulgrew, the president of the United Federation of Teachers, which represents city teachers, focused his criticism on Mr. Bloomberg. “I believe he’s trying to use this as sort of political grandstanding,” he said.

Mr. Mulgrew, noting that his union had “no disagreement with the governor over the evaluations,” did not object to Mr. Cuomo’s tying the increase in education aid to the creation of the evaluation system.
