  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Pachelbel's Canon as you've not heard before

I just want to pat him on the back and say "Rock on, dude"....

That was really good. He's talented.

It's one of my favorite classical pieces.

Sorry, Ben. He may be talented, but I had to turn it off as soon as he went whacko.

I'm with ahotjock71 on this one.

Excellent ! he did a great job ! Richie Blackmore from Deep Purple has been mixing classical and metal for years .. this kid did it justice !

Neil, I don't think you'd like my guitar-orchestra version of the main theme from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake then? (it's a lot heavier than that version of Canon in D, I kid you not).

Probably not. I never could find any enjoyment in 'heavy metal' guitar. Different strokes for different folks and all that, you know.

I'm not denying his talent. It's simply not a sound I enjoy.

It's not bad. But are you sure he's playing what you're hearing? I think it's a too huge clean sound for being played sitting on the bed... My guitar can't do that :(

I didn´t need to click, I had already heard it and I´m of those who find that version a truly brilliant exercise.

I was impressed.
(Hi belamy btw)
