Earlier today I got an email that I thought was spam titled "Palin Booed at Book Signing." I deleted it without opening it. But then about 10 minutes ago I decided to google it just to see if it really happened and it true. I have not seen video but only read the story. What happened apparently is that a large crowd showd up for her in Indiana and she signed some books but stopped when there were many people still waiting. Many had been there for up to 6 hours. When she decided to stop the crowd turned on her, booing her and said she was "quitting on the job" in obvious reference to her quitting as governor.

Somewhere Romney is grinnng like he met John Smith.

will there be a fox news report about it?

Sarah Palin wrote a book? What is it about?
when and how did she learn to write (her name?) i doubt very much that she even knows what a book is.

The Huffington Post article has a boring video.

From the above linked story.

"We gave up our entire workday, stayed in the cold, my kids were crying," one man was quoted saying. "They went home with my wife. She was out here in the freezing cold all day. I feel like I don't want to support Sarah."

I like “the family people” and how they make their kids go through that all day. Even more I like how they didn't go to work and points it out like he should be hugged for not getting anything signed.:D

She's coming here tomorrow -- You have to have pre-purchased the book from Borders, gotten a wrist band - 1000 limit, then stand in line, admitted in lots of 50.

I asked my son if he was going to go so he had a "broader" ass't of political reference books on his shelf in his office at school - Yeah, Right!

Go back to bear hunting and fishing for Salmon.
Things you might be qualified for.

That's what happened in the original report. One person even bought 2 books to be sure to get a signature, but she left before all the books had been signed as promised.

Not very good PR if you ask me.

Yeah, you can have up to 2 signed.
I wondered, 1000-2000 books to sign sounded like a lot per stop - thinking of writer's cramp. News brief on TV at 10:25PM says they're already lining up - and she doesn't get here till tomorrow.

No thanks. I'll pass. Her brilliance is just too underwhelming for me.

^ Wow. She has more talent than I gave her credit for. It's not easy to baffle oneself.

Remember the Katie Couric interview?
Talk about your Deer in the Headlights.

SNL's parody was too good to believe -especially when you saw the side by side comparison - was that posted on here - maybe by you?

That lady says she's going back to Borders tomorrow to return the books and demand her money back!! You go girl!!(!)

Hi, I'm from Indy and I saw this story on the news last night and they said that she was "contracted" to be there until 9pm and she left at the end of her contracted time. The rest of what the people here have said is true. People waiting, cold, rainy weather, etc. They also reported that she had another book signing in another city the next morning.. I'm not defending her, just passing on information that was on the local news.

That excuse is unacceptable. Book signings are fairly simple events and even if the bookstore did not have experience with a large signing there is a Random House representative touring with Palin as well as people from the campaign. They should have determined that the line was not moving fast enough and if it was impossible to speed it up then the people at the end of the line should have been informed.

I bet we will hear a different excuse tomorrow.

Dumb cunt.

When they said she'd finished her book, I said that I was surprised she could read one.

Stephen Colbert called it a pile of shit on his program.
