Palin sunk to a new low part THREE

The problem is, this is just lazy comedy. Rather than write their own skit, they just read the transcript of the real interview. If it wasn't for the bad Katie lookalike, I wouldn't have known I wasn't watching CBS.

I have to admit that shooing the Russians out of Alaska every morning was pretty funny.

Some of SNL's funniest skits from the past are the political ones, where there is less reliance on the SNL writers. Notice how the rest of the show typically is a major snooze, where the other skits have more writer input. Presidential campaigns often generate their own material that even the best writers can't touch.

If it wasn't for the bad Katie lookalike, I wouldn't have known I wasn't watching CBS.
Poehler's Katie Couric wasn't that bad. The body language was spot on. The biggest inaccuracy (aside from Amy looking 10 months pregnant) was the voice; Amy's was too feminine. A good Katie Couric parody requires a manly voice.

I love Katie - probably the reason for my critical eye at her imitator! :-)

It would've been funnier if "Palin" had, in the middle of her fumbling response, started saying "I...personally believe..."

While not as laugh-out-loud funny as the first Palin skit, I thought this one was a hoot. It's sad commentary that so much of the material from the original interview transcript worked as comedy. My favorite part was when Fey/Palin's long rambling run on sentence of an explanation ended on the word "also" without ever concluding with a point. That and her answer to Poehler/Couric's question about her becoming more adorable the more she was backed into a corner.

I don't understand why this is listed as humor/satire and y'all saying it isn't Palin or Curic. This is obviously a real interview. I can tell because Palin is so adorable.

The first time I saw Sara Palin, I thought.....man, she looks like Tina Fey!

I'm so glad they are taking advantage of the resemblance. Tina is really funny.

She admires Bush Sr way he learned the job and became president. Wow, he was just as qualified if not more so than Reagan in 1980.

I hope Couric talks about this interview at some point. How anyone could sit there and listen to these answers and not have a coronary is beyond me. Too much of political interviews today are about the spin and getting across talking points, if Russert was still around, she wouldn't be getting away with this. Would the McCain camp still try to dodge Tim, probably, look what he did to Ross Perot.

^ Thanks, I knew something was wrong with the facts of that answer. Palin confused me with the answer she gave to the question once again. I didn't realize the mistake she did made. Hey, she can be President:rolleyes:

I didn't want to start up yet another Sarah Palin low thread, so I thought I'd post this here. Maybe you guys missed this just as I did. I nearly wet my pants at her answer to this question. 1:11 Unnnnbelievable! Couric almost looks pissed but exhausted by Palin at the same time 1:41.

this video comfirms it shes talking out of her arse. She doesn't make sense but sounds nice.
