Palin's credibility shot down

Hahaha.

And the 401k checks are coming out tomorrow 25-30% less than last year.

When it rains it pours :D .

Doesnt suprise me

This is the nail in the coffin for McCain.

I would honesty dump her for someone else at this point if I was him.

Gentlemen, I think we are in pretty good shape here. Between the latest polls and Real Clear Politics putting Obama with a 6.6 lead, the Disaster of a week on Wall Street, the "My Fellow Prisoners" gaffe/(flashback?), and now Troopergate coming out that Palin is found Guilty of abusing her powers as Governor ... and the rabid crowd turning on McCain (you should see the Hannity Forums) for in their mind being "wishy washy" ... we are demoralizing them.

Plus, it certainly doesn't appear that McCain will take the low road after all at the next debate, by bringing up Ayres, Wright, or Rezko. Especially after what we saw today with his supporters.

Wow.

Any chance he was going to do that just evaporated with this news. Obama may have questionable associates but he has not been shown to have personally done anything wrong. This is a step above anything McCain has attacked Obama for so far.

:corn: :corn: :corn: I can see that popcorn is going to be my primary diet for the next few weeks.

Correction: the report says she committed abuse of power (wonderful!) but did not break State laws, but broke State Code of Ethics. She is still the lousiest choice for Vice-President and the worst and most telling first choice McCain made as a President wannabe. The two of them are so bad news it's not even funny anymore!!

Maybe she thought she would be dictator of Alaska by now.

"Sarah and Todd Palin want Alaska to Secede from the USA!
dailykos.com — McCain campaign did not know that both
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and her husband Todd Palin
were long-time members of the Alaska Independence Party
which promotes Alaska seceding as one of the United States
and becoming it's own country!"

Tuesday, September 02, 2008
"Palin Belonged to Alaskan Secession Group
Officials of the Alaskan Independence Party say that in the
mid-'90s Sarah Palin was a member of their party, a group
that since the 1970s has been pushing for a vote for Alaskans
to decide whether they can secede from the United States."

I just downloaded the report (its on the frontpage of the NYTimes), but its too long to read tonight. But I just had to say its unprecedented in modern American politics for a standing candidate for the presidency or vice-presidency to be found to have abused the power of their office for personal gain. The idea that she is any different from Ted Stevens or Frank Murkowski or a maverick/reformer is now dead.

When you put this finding with her family taking per diems while staying at home you have a picture of a politician whose goal is to use her office for her own aggrandizement to the detriment of taxpayers.

Hmm...Supposedly bi-partisan report. Finds no laws broken. Found that Palin only let the pressure to fire the trooper happen, not that she applied the pressure. If there was no criminal offense, why not let the report come out after the election? After all, they said she didn't overtly do anything. All of this for a guy who allegedly threatened her family and apparently tasered his son. A lot of people might just look past this. Not saying they should or shouldn't but this could be spun as released simply to effect the election, which of course it was.

The report was scheduled to come out a week before election. This date was made before Palin was selected as VP.

The commission decided to move it ahead to today to have less of an impact on the presidential race.

By the way, legal does not mean ethical. Just because no laws were broken, doesn't mean this can't be counted as a strike against Palin.

HaHa! Wait, do you think Obama has credibility? You must not be from Illinois. They are politicians. If you really think the media or these so-called fact checkers are giving you the straight story about any of them, you're delusional. To be a truly informed voter and know the "truth" about any of them would take years of investigating. Who has the time. The only thing you can do is look at a politician and vibe them out. Problem is, when you do that, they all seem like shady manipulators spinning "truth" in their favor.

Of course, most gay people are going to want McCain/Palin to fail bcuz they are of a party with ties to Christianity. However this does not make Obama/Biden magically wonderful because they are Democrats. They are just as non-credible as the rest working just as hard to spin "truth" to their benefit. It is a joke.

The only reason Obama is up in polls is bcuz of the economy and people blaming the Rep party. Opposite happened in 1980 when people blamed Carter and Dems for the bad economy and voted in a Rep, Reagan. Obama is not up bcuz he is a flawless, perfectly honest and credible saint.

People are human and this trooper was apparently a total d bag to Palin's sister. If it influenced Palin and was one of ten reasons why she let Monegan go, it wouldn't surprise me. I wud probably do the same. This happens all the time in the business world. This report isn't half of what you guys wish it was. There is much worse out there about the other Clinton, McCain, Biden and Osama, I mean Obama.

I actually lost a few IQ points reading this.

LOL YOU SAID OSAMA. I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE.

I remember when Reagan was elected.Older folks here, feel free to correct me, but I remember the main reason Carter losing was because of the Iran Hostage Crisis..

I was in the 7th grade at the time, and wasn't really sweating the rent. But I do clearly recall the disgust people felt over the hostages..

''Funny'' thing ,while the maggot Reagan was being inaugurated, the hostages where being flown home. Some might belive the maggot Reagan had a hand in them being held longer as part of an election stunt.

Reagan denied it, so it must be true.

One thing 25 years of Republicans reign of error has taught me, is that these are honorable people, and they never intentionally deceive us.If you belive that,it's not a lie.

If there is ''much worse out there'' about any Democrats, especially Osama,uh, I mean Obama  I can't imagine the maggots demonstrating any restraint ,and not making sure everybody in the world knew about it..

The long and short of it is ,republican politicians are scum. They have nothing to offer but war, fear and corruption...

Fear sells,but most Americans ain't buying..Not anymore.

I remember 1980 and you are right about the Iran Hostage Crisis. After that things are still foggy. i was just getting over the 1970s...|

There goes her "we cannot trust Obama" bullshit.

God, the McCain campaign gets more pathetic with each passing day.

>>>True. My bad. My point is if no charges are being filed this could have waited. Unless one wants to influence the election, of course.

Seriously? OK, let's play make believe. Say the panel decided unanimously that Palin was free of any wrong-doing. Should THAT have been held until after the election? No, of course not - that would've been a cheap Democratic ploy to keep her integrity in question until after the election, and people would've clamored for them to clear her good name. But because there IS something there, they're supposed to sit on it?

Lex

Shot down? When did she have credibility in the first place?

She got a lot of religious fools out there liking her because she mentions god here and there and has a large amount of kids (which means she's family oriented but if she was of color she'd be the scum of society).

Most of the gay people I know could care less about the GOP having a lot of Christians -- especially since the Democrats do, too.

The reason the oppose McCain is because he's a lying bigot who has never met a part of the Bill of Rights he really liked, Why he is bigoted is irrelevant; the fact that he is, is what counts.

When I think about a McCain presidency, I see a country with (more) restrictions on freedom of speech and of the press -- both of which McCain has said are less important than "effective government" -- in the name of "security"... and more holes in out right to be free from search and seizure, etc. etc. I see a president who can't hold his temper, who we'll have to worry every day if he's going to blow up at some country and get us into a war. I see a promise of balanced budgets, but a continued spending of multiple billions per day in military adventures overseas.
