Pancakes!!!

Damn. I love pancakes. Never thought about the Shrove Tuesday thing. I almost have them on Saturday morning with the BF as a way to start the weekend. Yup, with eggs sunny-side up.

I remember eating at a place right near the Anne Frank house in the Netherlands, where they served liquor over pancakes. You could actually get drunk eating pancakes. P.S. Dixie from All My Children says pancakes are just to die for.

I must be an idiot. I have never heard of Shrove Tuesday. I do love pancakes however except it's too late now. Does this have something to do with Mardi Gras?

The evening paper finally arrived a few minutes ago (talk about a late edition!), so I know who won the Big race between Olney and Liberal...

Olney completed the race in 62 seconds
Liberal completed it in 60 seconds

The winner was a former track (and marathon? if I heard the news correctly) runner from Wichita.

Also, the first winner from the 1950 race returned to Liberal for the races. She competed in the Last Chance race (race for those over age 50 ), with her daughter, granddaughter, AND great-granddaughter. When the group walked over the finish line, the group wept.

I never realised people ate pancakes with savory toppings, I only have sweet. And all your pictures show really thick pancakes, I have them a lot thinner.

Maybe, just maybe, I'll have pancakes for tomorrow's breakfast (although just one usually fills me up--sometimes 2 or 3 if they -R- small enough)..............just plain maple syrup is okay but blueberry syrup with whipped cream is most likely my favorite topping..............

I love them....but the calories....ugh! Need to stay fit...

I have not bought them yet, but I found some high protein ones for people that workout. I'm going to get some the next time I need to shop for stuff.
