Re: "Paranormal Acitivity" Movie Trailer

Reminds me of Ghost Hunter, the series. Looks potentially good :)

When I watch ghost movies, I tend to watch it like everyone else- at night, but then on the journey home from the cinema alone in the car... that's like the shitiest scariest experience EVER! Cos you're always imagining things in your backseat... like an eye peering at you, or a hand suddenly jump at you or something.

Re: "Paranormal Acitivity" Movie Trailer

The audience reaction is very real. Many horror critics are calling this one of the scariest movies ever. My buddy is a horror enthusiast, as well as a amateur ghost hunter. He goes on ghost tours, spends nights in haunted places and visits scary-ass roads in the middle of the night that supposedly have ghosts or hauntings. He's not easily impressed.

He saw Paranormal Activity. Said it was the scariest movie he's ever seen. Couldn't sleep until sun-up. He said he's never been in a movie audience where people reacted as they did in this one. Every time the main characters went to bed, he said the audience would groan in fear. Apparently one girl started crying during the movie and couldn't stop even when the film was over.

I cannot wait to see this movie. If you want it to come to your town/city, you can go the film's website and find out how to bring it to your area.

Re: "Paranormal Acitivity" Movie Trailer

I've been seeing the commercial for this airing on MTV. Didn't even know they were promoting this movie all that much.

Re: "Paranormal Acitivity" Movie Trailer

Two potential problems with the "I'll watch it at home" plan.

1. Some horror films truly are scarier when you share the experience with other viewers. Being in an audience that is also swept away by what they are witnessing often adds to one's own level of involvement.

2. If it truly does scare you, you're watching a film about two people being attacked in their own home by demonic forces in what you thought was the safety of your own home. Alone. :)

Re: "Paranormal Acitivity" Movie Trailer

Sounds good to me. Watching with others is the best way to ensure that I will laugh throughout a horror film-- people's reactions are so funny to me. So it's best that I watch it alone, if there is a good chance that it'll freak me out. :)

Lol I get creeped out at home by horror movies when I watch them alone, but I jump more in the theater where it's a collective experience.

I still cannot go back and watch Candyman again, because my buddy and I saw it in a sold out theater, and we were the only Caucasians there. I did not know what scared was until I saw a horror movie with a whole theater full of African Americans--people fell out into the aisle, screamed as though stabbed, cried, threw their popcorn when they jumped--their reactions magnified the horror of the film tenfold.

it was one of the best horror movie experiences I've ever had. Ever since, squealing little white chicks in theaters have annoyed the shit out of me.

I really want to see this. I love horror movies. I hear it is real scary, but every time someone tells me that I end up not being scared.

Candyman took me a while to get over. I saw the movie when I was very little (by accident) and it haunted me up until I was about 13. Now I can watch it in the dark by myself lol

Thats funny. :p

And "Candyman" is a classic. First saw it when I was younger and it haunted me for years too!

Re: "Paranormal Acitivity" Movie Trailer

This sounds like more "Blair Witch" hype to me.

Re: "Paranormal Acitivity" Movie Trailer

Go here and "Demand It!" to get it in theatres nationwide.

Just demanded it in my area! ..|

BTW, they had a segment about this movie on tonight's episode of "Extra". Mario Lopez said Stephen Spielberg said he saw the movie and strange things started happening in his house after he saw it. Innnteresting.
