Indeed I usually hear the Q referring to as queer.

I feel that harms us more than anything. Using that in the acronym is like us saying "GAY LIFESTYLE" and we know how that is used against us.

Throwing the Q in there makes it sound like we are saying some of us are this way BY CHOICE, and that is great ammunition for the dark side to use against us.
 
I recently heard the acronym QUILTBAG which I kinda hate and kinda love. It's supposed to cover the entire spectrum: Queer/Questioning, Unidentified (those who don't like labels), Intersex, Lesbian, Transgender, Bisexual, Asexual, and Gay.
 
the q is for questioning as in how did you not know that? i thought everybody knew that.

The Q (for questioning) was meant to include those who haven't yet figured out what their sexuality is. I don't think that implies they "haven't made up their mind yet" - it just means they don't know what their mind IS.

I like the term Queer it's very universal and covers all sides without going into details. I usually call myself queer and that's it.
 
and oh my what does the second T mean in LGBTQT

I don't recall seeing two Ts, but I'm guessing perhaps "Transsexual" and "Transgender"?

Yes, Queer or

Gender Queer for those who cant call themselves man or woman.

I sometimes refer to myself as Queer. I know that Im a woman but my sexulaity doesnt always fit in the LGBT box.
