‘90210’ is latest CW show targeted by PTC

The Parents Television Council is ticked off at the CW again.

This time, the organization is asking advertisers to boycott the CW’s latest and so-far hit show 90210, thanks to a gag about oral sex in one of the opening scenes.

"The CW Network has openly, wantonly and eagerly violated every business tenet of the broadcast industry. They shocked viewers during the family hour by depicting high school children engaged in oral sex in their car," council president Tim Winter told the Los Angeles Times.

"It's such a sucker punch to viewers and a lot of families. No one tuned into 90210 thinking, "Hey, maybe I will get to see [oral sex]."

The parents are either pissed because they aren't getting anything so good or because they are stupid enough to think that the kids don't already know what a blow-job is.

Probably a 'protest' started by the CW as a way to get people to actually 'talk' about 90210. The ONLY reason parents would 'protest' the show is that watching it could negatively impact their kids' cognitive abilities. It's THAT bad. (I was forced to watch; I'm blameless.)

lol..i was SURE that GG wouldn't make it past midseason.
i couldn't watch it on a regular basis but, i don't mind GG. Chace Crawford is definately worth the occasional glance....and i've got a weird "crush" on Leighton Meester. i'd rather see her full time on "Entourage" as Justine Chapin though.

the only thing 90210's got going for it is Rob Estes and the hot teacher but, i'm guessing that most of the focus will be on those horrible children.

Just because teenagers really do something in real life is no reason to put everything in a television show. Teenagers take shits too; but I have no interest in seeing that either. Just because it's a real-life activity doesn't automatically make it an interesting story for television.
