It occurs to me that some people who use 'fag' as an insult may not be homophobes so muhc as actually being stupid people who don't realize the degree of offensiveness for the word they use.

Maybe Washington isn't a homophobe, since he's been supportive of LGBT rights, but he's just ignorant and careless. The same goes for Paris, I imagine. How can any celebrity girl be a conservative homophobe and survive in the industry she's choosing to flourish in?
