Paul Ryan’s ‘Brown Bag Lunch’ Story Was Stolen From A Homeless Child

A story too good to check: Paul Ryan and the tale of the brown paper bag

(Washington Post Fact Checker blog; March 6, 2014)

Fox News’ Bret Baier questions whether Representative Ryan’s staff or Eloise Anderson (Cabinet Secretary of Ryan’s “buddy,” Scott Walker) should be held responsible. He offers no suggestion that Ryan himself should shoulder the responsibility.

Thanks.

At least you supplied some evidence. Even though the Post is very liberal and liberally gives P's to conservatives while ignoring major lies by democrats ... case in point Harry Reid's recent lie-fest where he called millions of Americans liars -- the Post only gave him two P's.

Ryan repeated sworn testimony before Congress in his speech about BrownBagGate. I can see the subpoenas and 24/7 coverage by MSNBC coming.

You believe the most amazing lies.

Global warming caused by humans is as much fact as Ronald Reagan's middle name. Since it's impossible to warm the globe without causing climate change, global climate change caused by humans is as proven as the sinking of the Titanic by an iceberg.

One need not even consider the behavior of greenhouse gases to know that.

It appears you've bought the big lie about climate change. Scientists voting on science. Science is not democracy.

Progressives don't like science that's against their agenda. Global climate change caused by human beings is not proven because the 'science' was 'adjusted' by scientists yet it's one of the pillars of the liberal left.

How would you know that when you have no clue of ANY science and the only "truth" your party uses is the Bible?

It appears you've bought the big lie about climate change. Scientists voting on science. Science is not democracy.

Science IS in fact a democracy, which you would know if you knew anything about this stuff. There are no "facts" in science, there are only opinions that an overwhelming majority agrees on. Climate change being one of them.

There is no big lie.

Every bit of technology we have produces heat. Your computer churns it out, microwave ovens do too, cars do it in spades -- we humans generate extra heat at a rate higher than just what our bodies do.

That's human-generated heat. It's a fact. It's heat that is not natural to the planet. Adding it to the planet increases the global temperature. So human-generated increase in the global temperature is a FACT. And since any change in the global change leads to changes in climate, human-driven climate change is a FACT.

There's no voting involved. Even a pre-school child can grasp that if you add heat to something, it gets warmer -- so humans making the planet warmer is a matter of pre-school grasp of science. Which means that denial of humans making the planet warmer requires deliberately choosing to be less intelligent than a preschooler.

Then there's the middle-school comprehension level of human-generated global warming: We cover the earth in materials that absorb sunlight and re-radiate it as heat. These materials replace the natural surface which doesn't re-radiate anywhere near as much heat. So humans actively turn more sunlight into heat than the globe would do by itself -- and once again, we have human-generated global warming that is a FACT. It only takes a middle-school grasp of science to understand this. Which means that denial of humans making the planet warmer requires deliberately choosing to be less intelligent than a middle-schooler.

We can move on to an arguably high school level matter: humans turning large areas of the planet into desert by foolish practices of several kinds which remove vegetation and don't replace it. Deserts absorb sunlight and turn it to heat, far more than any sort of vegetation at all. So by increasing the amount of desert, humans are making the planet warmer . . . and thus denial of humans making the planet warmer requires deliberately choosing to be less intelligent than a high schooler.

Notice that we didn't even have to talk about what science-deniers like Rush Limbaugh try to tell you is a conspiracy. No mention of greenhouse gases is required to prove beyond any trace of doubt that humans are heating up the planet, and thus causing climate change. To deny it requires deliberately choosing to be very unintelligent indeed.

And for people who do raw science, the evidence is overwhelming -- even without talking about greenhouse gases.

Crap, even Ronald Reagan understood that humans are warming up the world -- and just BTW, he was right that human livestock is a measurable contributor, because our domesticated critters churn out more methane than would be produced by a totally natural ecology.

Told ya!
Ah, Spring Break in Corpus Christi, Tx. Beach scene yesterday, literally vacant. Temp range from 48 to 50. Today, thunderstorms due and 53 as I [STRIKE]speak[/STRIKE] type. The high is expected to be 61. Another cold front, here in Texas we call it a Norther, is due this week. This is March! Spring Break, anyone?

Science is not a democracy. Science is based on knowledge.

Science (from Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge"[1]) is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe.[2][3] In an older and closely related meaning, "science" also refers to a body of knowledge itself, of the type that can be rationally explained and reliably applied. A practitioner of science is known as a scientist.
